This book was an intriguing look into the mind of a saint; the only reason I don't give it five stars is that a certain section of it was in German.

Firmly in the Carmelite tradition...
...of deep, meditative, self-surrendering spirituality. Definitely not for New Age seekers after permission to please themselves. Echoes of Aristotle and Aquinas as well of of St. Teresa the Great. A real intellectual challenge that at the same time calls forth a deep faith response.

God'sife within us.
St. Edith Stein learned how to pray in the circumstances of her life, where faith, hope, and love-felt were the pathway itself. Eternal Love is within each of us now, at this moment, as Love with the alpha and the omega of existence.

Saint Sister Teresa Benedicta is a great and easily understood writer.

The Hidden Life
I have read Teresa of Avila a number of times. Edith Stein does a wonderful job of paraphrasing and translating the meanings of St. Teresa's writings.

I don't know how to rate a product when it's a book. The book was in great shape and the price was worth the book.
