Appliqué overlays stocking.
The appliqués overlay the edges of the stocking. Without trimming them they will look tacky. This is cheaply made and not put together very well.

Great set of stockings for gift giving!
We purchased a bunch of these stockings for our children to give as gifts to their friends. The stockings are a nice size (large enough to put in 3-4+ party favor type toys and a large bunch of candies) to hold treats and toys for our oldest to give to her friends. The stockings aren't the kind you'd hang for your family for years and years, but the quality isl good and the felt scenes are really cute. All in all, we were 100% happy with the shipping/packing and the price and quality of the stockings as cute gift holders and keepsakes for friends.

Could be better. In their defense, it looks exactly like the picture, like an art project from an elementary school. I still put it up though so not horrible.
