I purchased this game to play with my 13-year-old daughter, and I was absolutely blown away by the experience. What started as a simple activity turned into hours of deep, meaningful conversation, and she loved it so much she kept asking to play it again. This game is a beautiful masterpiece that teaches everyone how to speak about their emotions and fearlessly share their truth; hearing the heartfelt words and powerful messages my daughter shared while we played was worth absolutely everything to me. It creates such a safe, healing space for genuine vulnerability, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to any parent, educator, or family looking to truly connect.

As a School Counselor I have used this with kids I see individually and in small groups. They have all loved it. The memory match game is great and was even engaging to my 5th graders. The card game is played like go fish. There are sets of emotions and there are questions or suggestions as to how to deal with each of them. My kids really enjoyed this game as well. The flip chart was a great tool to refer back to and tie feelings that you may have leading up to becoming angry. It was great to get them to start thinking about how they feel before becoming angry so that they can start to use their coping strategies. The quality of the material is exceptional. I feel that it will hold up well for a long time. The box it comes in is also very sturdy so it protects everything and has cut outs so the pieces aren't moving around inside the box. You can throw this set in a bag and take it from school to school and it will stay organized. This is a great resource to have for all school counselors.

I love this set and my clients love playing the different games and being able to explore the different emotions. The flip book helps me. Explain the emotions further and great for different ages!

Behind The Anger Therapy Kit for Kids is such an awesome tool. It has the right amount of color to catch the audience's attention, it is a 3 in 1 kit (bang for your buck!), fun and easy to use. As a therapist working with kids and adults, I will be utilizing this product to the fullest. Kids learn a great deal through play, so I know this Kit is going to be experiencing some ware and tear. It's a great game to help students learn about and express anger in healthy ways

I bought this game to use with clients during therapy. We’ve only used the matching as it is the only part of the game that is simple to use and promotes dialogue. The card game instructions are complicated and don’t make sense, and the flip chart for definitions of the emotional words have good intent, but are way to complicated for children to understand. I find that I have to substitute more age appropriate vocabulary just to explain the definition of the emotion. This alone made me give it 3 stars, as the product says for ages 6 and up. I can’t imagine the average 6yo understanding these definitions, let alone the average 12yo. They need to update it with simpler terms and definitions that are kid friendly.

I really like that this product is so well presented. You get a memory game, card game and emotions flip book and they are all well made and come in a velvet lined box which looks really great. The product itself wasn't really what I was expecting. I was hoping for something specific to anger, but this really is more am emotional literacy tool. The flip book describes different emotions and the memory game/card game both link emotions to strategies. So as an emotional literacy game this works but not what I'd been looking for.

the memory match pieces were all stuck together; once I pulled them apart, there is now a rough surface on many of the pieces.

It's a great game for involving teen conversations, and it does have advantages for caregivers.
