Dated VGA input, can't replace VGA/USB cables, whole monitor broke within a month.
I bought this for running DMX shows on an Intel NUC with Ubuntu. Display worked with Linux right away and was workable quality. The touchscreen did "work", but was always upside down and backwards. That's a problem with me and Linux, not the monitor, and shouldn't be considered for this review (just FYI). The base is very sturdy, it will sit tabletop flat and you can bolt a computer onto the back! And it's a "cheap" monitor too, what could go wrong!!!First problem with this monitor is that it's VGA only. If you have legacy stuff it will work fine. But, modern smaller computers don't often include VGA any more so you get to put $50 into this monitor just to adapt it down to Displayport or HDMI. Be ready to drag those adapters and cables around, and deal with any problems they have.Second problem is that the video input and USB cables are not replaceable. They are pigtails stuck to the monitor. If anything happens with them, you get out the soldering iron, or more likely, throw away the whole monitor.Third and final problem, the monitor died after a month! This monitor spent weeks in my shop where it was used programming a show. It was travelled to a show and ran once, then I used it in the shop again. Then it was travelled to a second show, where it didn't run because they cancelled (always get a deposit, people). Set it up in the shop, and it was broken! I'm not touring with Metallica, I used it's original box to move it to gigs two times. What's broken is the display has no "v-hold" as we'd say back in the CRT days. Simply scrolls around unintelligibly. Even the monitor menus are unreadable, and it's unplugged from the computer/adapters. Swap video cable you say? Read above, you can't do that! A month and a half old, this monitor is now garbage.I hate giving this a one star because the picture was ok, it's a sturdy little thing, it's low cost, it has proper VESA to mount a terminal onto, and came with all the bits to do so. But none of that means anything if it's broken, and I can't return it. I wanted it to work, I wanted to buy another one. But no way, I'm avoiding this monitor and all it's clones.

Garbage and beyond!
This product is garbage. This display is only barely better than the Monoprice 17" unit. They are prone to the power connections melting/burning, which although an easy fix, is definitely alarming. This has happened to around 13 out of 17 units by my count (not all bought on Amazon), typically after about 18 months. Next, the touch starts to lose sensitivity after a few months, and after about 3 years of moderate but not extremely heavy use, really starts to require something like a hard-pointed stylus or the end of a retracted pen to work reliably. When they do start to display accuracy or power problems, good luck getting warranty service. They don't seem to care at all. When it does come time to repair it, be ready to be blown away by the dreadful build quality. All of my units have had a folded up piece of scrap paper as a spacer to support the PCB holding the power and adjustment buttons. The touch panel is held by double sided tape, but put over it like single sided regular tape, without the backing peeled off. There is no seal or pad of any sort to prevent the intrusion of crumbs or dust.Six of mine have already gone out with the garbage, and another unit has one foot out the door.Save your money, don't buy this piece of crap, and buy a factory refurb ELO display with APR, SWR, or capacitive sensing, for $320. The savings in headaches and dissatisfied customers are worth the extra money.

Buy a different brand
Monitor worked well for Windows 7 and earlier, then got new computer with Windows 10 and it works sometimes. I called the company and left a message and never got called back. Now I have to buy a different brand..Also the screen goes out frequently as noted in other reviews..I would suggest buying a different brand

Very Durable Monitor And Worth The Money
We purchased this monitor in July 2012 for a point of sale cash register, It is now October 9th 2013. The monitor runs everyday except on Sundays for a minimum of 14 hours each day. The touch screen is still accurate, it's light weight and still carries the brightness as how it first arrived. It may not be an ELO Monitor but it has outlived several of our ELO Monitors that were purchased around the same time. I would purchase this product again. We use the usb port and never had to unplug it from the day we installed it. Also we never had to run the calibration software since it was purchased, not even once was it required. Our ELO's had to have the calibration software run a couple of times just to get the touch screen accurate. So far I'm really, really impressed at this monitor which was far cheaper than an ELO Monitor and has proven it's quality. Hope we can find this product again when we need additional Touch Screens in the future. I will be happy to post the exact day when this monitor has completed it's life cycle when that day arrives.

good bang for the buck
Monitor came well packaged. Easy setup, just load the software, calibrate the screen and you are up and running. Depending on ypur screen resolution you may have to make some advanced setting like the double tap area size. Great product for a good price.

Great monitor, crap stand
Easy enough to set up, and the monitor works great, but we are unable to mount it to the stand provided. The screws are waaaaayyy too small, and the holes do not line up (even if they did, I couldn't see these teensy screws catching)Side note: I had someone far more handy than me attempt to fix it, and he was also unable to. So now we're waiting on a wall mount ordered separately.
