SK tools = Top quality
These are heirloom quality tools that will last a lifetime. The build quality and finish are so astonishing I don't want to use them. Very fine tooth ratcheting mechanism for tight spaces where movement is limited. Wrenches have zero offset (flat), SK website does not specify this. Just one note, there is no reversing lever you have to flip the wrench to reverse. You will not be disappointed, SK tools are top quality and the company stands behind their products. I have 40 year old SK tools and only had one problem with a ratchet wrench (ball bearing fell out) which SK promptly sent me a new repair kit at no charge. Wrench is again like new. Lastly, price paid for this set was not much different than a comparable imported set. Even most Craftsman tools are now imported.

High Quality Tools
S - K Tools are the best. These Particular Wrenches feel great in my hand since I have a small hand and they are made of High Quality Steel. Great Set!

the worst set of tools i own. DONT BUY!!
these tools look nice.....that's about it! they suck!!!worst set I've ever bought! I haven't had them even a year and probably use them once a month at work. so in reality they are still new. the few times I've used them I noticed that the gearing would get stuck......i thought that was odd and had never experienced a tool stop ratchetting.. these are so expensive compared to a cheap husky that outperforms these all day.the last few times I've use my set in the middle of a job while someone was helping me, I was left embarrassed and had to borrow my co workers tools because these pieces of crap stopped working. could not believe. if they weren't so expensive I would have thrown them away already. For a company thats been building so called quality.....they really screwed this up!!!!

Great wrenches, bad business practice
All over the description it says proudly made in America only to be completely false. The metric set I purchased had 3 USA stamped wrenches, but all the rest were not. They're well made from all initial uses, but certainly not a company I'll trust again after these seemingly shady practices. I'm not disappointed in the wrenches, just how Great Star has handled the brand, hence the 2 stars.

No Longer Made in USA
The quality of these ratchets seems very good and I like how they have a short arc to engage the ratchet mechanism (great for tight spaces) but I was very disappointed to learn these are no longer made in USA. To demand the same money for an overseas product that used to be made in the USA is not acceptable to me. This is a great set but the price is too high for what you get.

World class quality without the snap on price tag
Wrenches work phenomenally, great USA made product. Both ratcheting mechanism and antislip open end are superb. Have the metric set as well. Only knock i have on these are they’re not very comfortable in the hand, which probably wont matter to most-but if you turn wrenches all day ergonomics are important. All in all outstanding value. Love SK tools, they have been the tools of choice in my family for generations.

Nice, but should be nicer
If you use wrenches for a living you know that you need many different kinds to fit many different situations. The primary feature of these new SK wrenches is the ratcheting mechanism. When you have very little room to turn a wrench back and forth these shine. However, the design of the wrench also presents some difficulties. For one, they are very thick -- unusually thick. I suspect this is in order to accommodate the fine ratcheting mechanism. Yes, a thick wrench is going to be a stronger wrench than a thin one, but the thickness of these prohibits their use in some small spaces. Besides, a high quality steel wrench does not need to be so thick. Others have pointed out that the box end fits snugly over bolts and nuts so there's no slop. This is good and this is bad. If you are working with a shiny new bolt or nut, that's fine. But if you are working with a bolt or nut that is caked with dirt, or that has been damaged, or is corroded on the outside, the box ends of these wrenches won't fit and you're stuck using the open end, which means that nifty ratcheting system is useless in this case. The third limitation is the unexplainable small selection of SAE sizes. I'm an aircraft mechanic and we don't use metric tools. I feel the need to ask, "What were they thinking?" This is SK's top-of-the-line wrench and they only make 7 sizes in SAE? I like the wrenches and I look for opportunities to use them, but they should be better. I could not possibly have them as my only set of wrenches, but they fill a very small niche nicely.

great little wrenches
i work on 4 million dollar a piece industral robots i cant afford for my tools to be failing me in mid job. the arc swing ie ability to work in tight places with these is amazing and i really line the 6 point ratchet it makes not stripping anything out a lot easier on 6 point bolts on 12 point bolts i use a set of wera jokers which i really like as well but the arc swing cant compare with these bad boys.guess the only con with these is way x frame feels in your hand inder high torque it can bite a little as there rather square but that is a trade off for low profile access they give still a 5 star wrench in my opion though
