SUN-STAR Shredder Scissors S6301401 (japan import)

This shredder is quite fun to use for small volume shredding. I would not recommend it if you need to shred a lot because it will get tedious. It is suited for shredding specific parts of a document, not the whole document (for example, an address or a code on a mail) The shred is confetti style, i have tried on some thin plastic cards with varying levels of success, it may not separate the confetti completely for thicker sheets. It is messy so you need something to catch the mess while you cut. It is a good option if you dont have space to keep an electric shredder. See the photo for how it shreds.

Not great for cutting up credit card statements or applications, but small items go quickly and are completely shredded. Serves its purpose.

Bought specifically to use on credit cards as the cards jam my main shredder too easily. The scissors work well on thin plastic labels but require too much force to use on credit cards. I waited too long or I would have returned this item. I can't recommend this product.

These shredder scissors are excellent to use to shred private information on paper. I’ve only used these scissors on paper, not CDs or credit cards. USAGE TIP: add lubricating oil on the scissors so the shredding action is smoother. Using an electric shredder on entire sheets of paper seems a waste. I have to clean out the electric shredder gears after they start to get stuck. I find I mostly just need to shred a few key pieces of information on billing or account statements. These scissors shred the paper into very tiny squares. There’s no chance to put these squares together for information.

What a complete pain in the... hand! Ouch! I used this product to cut up some credit cards. Bad news. It requires the hand strength of an arm wrestler. I'm 63 and I could barely squeeze the scissors together to cut the cards. It required two hands after the first cut into the cards. And then half way through the horizontal cut on the card I had to cut from the other side. The only thing these scissors have going for them is they sure do cut a swath out of the card which can't be put back together. The cut creates very small pieces of plastic.

Ingenious design. Scissors work well and completely shred whatever you're cutting. It would be nice if they were just a bit wider to shred more of the paper in one snip, but that isn't a major issue. Recommended.

I’m a sucker for Japanese stationary and being that I’m limited on space in my home office, I decided to opt for these shredder scissors instead of a bulky paper shredder. This is a good option for shedding addresses off envelopes, but not much else. While they are functional, I will probably end up purchasing a paper shredder.

Although these shredding Scissors worked, they were very stiff, difficult to open and close, and shredded a much smaller area than I expected.
