I truly love this watch. It is so unique and different! It is made of a beautiful wood with intricately carved details. The watch face has easily visible gold numbers, as well as indications at 15 minute intervals. There is a sweeping second hand and the hands are golden with glow in the dark indicators on both. There is a date display. To set the time, the button turns clockwise. For setting the date, it spins counter- clockwise.It does hang somewhat heavily on my arm, as a female. On the side of few of the links from each connection, has a small hole for the removable pins allowing adjustment for size. I had to remove a total of three pieces for it to correctly fit. The wood is sanded to a smooth finish, as to not cause irritation on the wrist. The stainless steel connection piece is continuous, folding in to lie smoothly on the arm. The clasp is easily depressed to release.I am unsure of the type of wood that is used, other than it is a light type. I do believe the wood is stainable, if you are so inclined. All and all, this is a very nice watch. I would not hesitate to give this a gift for my friends or family.As an avid online shopper, I know and understand the true value of an honest review. I got this watch as a gift for my husband. He had wanted a wooden watch for a while now. The packaging is nice, the watch sits in a black box wrapped around a small velvet pillow. The wood is a light color and my husband seems happy with how easy it is to use. It can be a little tedious to set the date on the dial. You have to spin the knob on the side for quite a while to get to the correct day, but make sure not to pass it or you'll have to do it again. It doesn't spin backwards to the date, only forward. I do still need to figure out how to remove a couple of links since it's about two links too big for his wrist, so we will take it in and see about having it done professionally. Besides that, both my husband and I love it and agree it's well worth it's price. The dial around the outside doesn't spin, so take note of that. It's just for decoration. I'm rating 4 stars instead of five only because of the difficulty in setting the date and not having an instruction guide to assist in removing the links but besides that this is a great product and I am happy we received it for the discounted rate for my honest and unbiased review.

Great product. Taking the links out for adjustment was a bit difficult, though. Recommend.
