Hot Shot Peanut butter scented baits are the best I’ve ever used!
Hot Shot ant baits are my go-to for getting rid of ant invasions. The baits are so simple to use. Just break the bait house off from the set of 2 and place it or them in the line of the ants or where you believe they might be coming in to your house. I like to place them where children and pets can’t get to them because they smell like peanut butter which is what attracts the ants, but I don’t want them to be a temptation. The housing for the bait allows you to handling them without touching the bait itself which makes them much safer than using liquids. I feel safe placing them on the edges of counter tops if there are no children in the house. They can be placed further in to keep them out of reach if needed. Ants are drawn to the peanut butter and take it back to the nest and it kills the colony. If I have a heavy infestation it can take a couple of days to be fully effective but if I catch them right away I can stop an infestation from starting. During a very hot, dry period my sister had a huge infestation that was coming into her home looking for water and then food. This even though her husband was spraying ant and spider spray all around the exterior of their home. Ants are persistent when they need water. Ants were not only all over their kitchen island they were also coming up drain pipes under their home and swarming the bathroom sinks and tubs and into their laundry room. We placed bait traps behind trash cans, between the washing machine and the wall and just under the open bag of dog food. In one day the ants in the bathrooms and laundry room were gone. In the kitchen simply sprayed a bleach and water combo on the counters once a day and wiped them dry so the ant tracks hauling away the poison were eliminated in seconds with no residual. Please keep in mind that Lysol products have to sit on counter tops etc for 15 minutes to kill germs and poison ant tracks where a mix of 1/4 cup bleach to 6 cups of water kill everything on contact and leave no residue. That’s my public service bit. lol Bottom Line: This is a fabulous product and you should try it. If you’re infested with ants give the traps a couple of days to work but if the ants are just starting to appear, one day should do the trick. Leave the baits in place to catch the stragglers.

It 100% works!!
I put out all 4 baits along the wall near a tiny hole they were entering in the bathroom. Within an hour, there were so many ants swarming the bait and taking tiny granules back into the hole, presumably to their nest and Queen. It’ll definitely look at lot worse before it gets better. Just let the bait do its thing. I didn’t try killing all of the ants with spray as I wanted them all to carry back the poison. Within 24 hours, there were only a few stragglers left near the traps. By that time, I began seeing ants coming out from under the tubs seal. I moved a couple traps there and the same thing happened to where there was a bunch of them at first. It has now been 2 1/2 days and I haven’t seen one ant in at least 12 hours. I kept bathroom door shut while using traps to keep cat away from them. The only other thing I tried before these baits was spraying STEM ant killer. Although they killed ants on contact, it left an oily mess, smelled horrible to me and didn’t address the root of the problem.

Not effective!!
UPDATE: Not sure if this is what did it, but as of about June 16, no more ants. I placed these wherever I found ants and a week later I’m experiencing a bad ant issue. I had read in the reviews to put a little bit of sugar on it and I honestly thought it’d work, but they literally gathered around, ate all the sugar and called it a day. Placed them also whiteout sugar and they did nothing. The ants were not attracted to it, they did not die. I haven’t found any dead ones. They’re definitely easy to use, easy to snap and place anywhere, but I don’t think they’re as effective as the other reviews mention.

They work!
The title says it all. No smell, no leak. Easy to use and they work. HINT: Get a bunch of packages and scatter these little traps everywhere to get those little critters.

These really work well
I was seeing pavement ants in my hallway where I feed the feral cats and I put three of these down and a week later the ants were gone !!

Works, but
These ant traps works efficiently at getting the ants away when there was suddenly thousands of ants at home. There’s also not any obvious scent. But, this is more like a one time use product, because after opening, even if I don’t use all of them, it just doesn’t work anymore for the next time and have to repurchase.
