Iconic Batman TAS Figure!
Batman the Animated Series, is my favorite cartoon from when I was a kid. To this day, this incarnation of the Batman universe is probably my favorite. When DC collectibles announced that they would be making action figures based upon this series, I was so thrilled. I was kind of suprised, that the first version of Batman, they made, was from the "The New Batman Adventures", instead of his original depiction in "Batman the Animated Series." I eagerly waited for almost a year to get my hands on my favorite version of Batman. This figure did not disappoint.Good:The sculpt on this figure is awesome. He looks like he just jumped out of the cartoon. Even though the character has a rather simplistic design, it should be noted that the sculptors at DC collectibles captured it perfectly. The articulation on this figure is one of the true highlights of this figure. Due to the stylized nature of the character design, I was afraid that DC collectibles would merely give us a 5-6 POA (points of articulation) nicely sculpted statue. DC Collectibles seems to always value aesthetics, rather than articulation. I was afraid that, in regards to articulation, this figure would not be a improvement on the version of this character we got in the 1990s, with the original Kenner toy line. I WAS DEAD WRONG! This figure is incredibly pose-able, with various ball joints and swivel joint. This figure is not as pose able as a Marvel Legends figure, but it is still great. To top it all off, the articulation, does not throw off the sculpt or the visual style of the figure at all. The designers at DC Collectibles knocked it out of the park in this regards. This figure comes with some cool accessories. This figure comes with a batarang, grapple gun, display stand (with a cool animation cell on the base, and a clear stand that goes around the figure's waist), a set of fist hands, a set of open gripping hands, a set of tight grip hands (for the batarang I believe), and 1 hand holding a built in grapple gun. All of these accessories are high quality, and Batman can wiled them pretty well.Bad:The paint on this figure is pretty fragile. Even with light handling I started to notice that some of the paint would flake or peel off. This peeling is very minimal, but it is still annoying. I got the batmobile, from this series, and I have to be careful, when I decide to put him in it or pull him out of it, his ears and toes, tend to chip. This is easily fixed with touch up paint, but it is still annoying. The joints on this figure are tight, and don't feel very sturdy. My figure did not break, but when I first got it, the joints were really tight, so I was very careful to work them out before posing him. I am sure if I hadn't done this, this figure would have broke.Summary:This figure is AWESOME! I wouldn't call it perfect, but definitely my favorite Batman figure to date. I love what DC Collectibles is doing with its Batman TAS/New Adventures figures. This figure is a definite must for any Batman fan, especially fans of the Animated Series.

DC Collectibles Batman the Animated Series: Batman
I’ve had this figure on pre-order for quite some time, and now that it’s finally here in hand, I am not disappointed at all. This figure was worth the wait. I was young when Batman the Animated Series aired, but I watched the first episode when it played, and I’ve loved it ever since. For me, this is the definitive Batman. Kenner put out a line of BTAS figures back around ’92 when the show debuted, I had the Power Belt Batman which was really the only figure in the Kenner line that looked like this, like how Batman looked on the show. I loved that figure, and I love this figure too.Gone are the days of the brittle, clear joints that DC Collectibles had been using for their BTAS line, this figure is rock solid. The joints are stiff, the small ankles hold up this broad shoulder crime fighter. The joint holes at the hips are gone, this figure is aesthetically pleasing both in design and execution. If I had to list complaints there wouldn’t be many. I wish maybe there had been some shadowing or a thin line painted on the lip area to make it stand out more, and an additional cape that covered his body, like when Batman is in full on detective mode and hiding in the shadows. Other than that, and some limited range or articulation, this is an amazing figure.Aside from the grapnel gun and batarang, you get two sets of hands. The figure comes packaged with fists attached, you get two batarang holding hands and two open grip hands, presumably for the grapnel gun. And like previously released Batman and Robin figures, you also get an additional hand with the grapnel gun sculpted in, which is great. Also included is the figure stand with turn around images on it. Not tons of accessories, but all the appropriate ones. Since all of these figures are episode specific in their design and release, I understand why they don’t include a bevy of accessories with each figure. There is no diaphragm or ab crunch and the arms at the elbow don’t quite hit 90 degrees, but you can still get this figure in some good action poses, especially with the grapnel gun or batarang.I love BTAS, and I love this Batman figure. DC Collectibles made good with a lot of customers after qc issues when this line started, and they’ve clearly learned from and corrected their mistakes. This line keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait to see what other figures they have prepared for this line. I know next summer we will be getting Ra’s Al Ghul and Commissioner Gordon. Keep ‘em coming DC. If you’re a BTAS fan, get this figure… now! This figure comes FULLY APPROVED.

This is a fantastic representation of The Animated Series' version of Batman
This is a fantastic representation of The Animated Series' version of Batman! While I use it as a display piece I'm sure that children (and some adults!) would relish in play with this figure. The articulation is what you would expect in a modern figure but they've done a really good job of retaining the perspective and style of The Animated Series. Great figure!

Perfect likeness. Great accessories. I wish it had a *little* better articulation.
Great representation of Batman from The Animated Series. The paint, details, and colors are all great. The extra hands and accessories are appreciated, and I really love the 'character turn-around' stand meant to mimic concept art. It's a great touch. The hip joints are a little awkward, and without swivel joints in key spots Batman can't be quite as limber and flexible in his posing. But, it's not a deal-breaker by any means. And, in great news: nothing broke. This line initially had breakage issues, and I'm relieved to see that it's no longer the case. It held me off buying any of these figures, but I'm glad I finally gave it a shot.If you were a fan of The Animated Series at all, you owe it to yourself to grab this one.

One of the Definitive Batman figures!
This is one of the best Batman figures ever! It's based on my definitive version of the character. I didn't get "The New Batman Adventures" version so I can't compare him to this version. I will admit I would've liked a secondary cape to drape over his shoulders like the 1st version and I would've liked more articulation, But I feel it's not worth taking a star off. His eyes aren't as wide as the product photo, in fact it resembles the version we've seen in the 2 pack with the Phantasm. Never the less, a great figure for Batman fans!
