The order arrived promptly, and it was easy to fit together - the instructions are very clear. Unfortunately, I didn't have the strength (shoulder injury - but I'm certain I wouldn't have been able to do this on my own, anyway) to put the pole up. My son - who is very strong - put the pole up, but he really had to force it into position (following the rules given on the instructions). I appreciate that the fit has to be tight, but bear this in mind if you are not very strong! Once up, it seems very strong, and of course, the curtains had to be threaded onto the pole before it was pushed into the tensioned position, so it was heavier still. I bought temporary curtains from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DT6N31SY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title As these were very good value, and will provide cover until I know how I want the room decorating, longer term. These curtains are also very good - I did check that the ring size would fit on the pole, beforehand. I covered the entire width of the room with the tension pole, since the window has no margin on one side, and there are already venetian blinds in place (which don't work!), so there was no room to fit the tension pole within the frame of the existing window recess. Even so, I had no need to use the enclosed supporting bracket (which they suggest is fitted at the halfway point, in order to provide sufficient strength). The curtains are fairly lightweight, but also provide almost complete blackout, despite not being lined! This may be a function of having chosen dark purple, but they are advertised as blackout curtains. All in all, a sturdy, effective (albeit temporary) solution for my spare bedroom! Thank you!

This pole is remarkably strong and tough, with no sagging. Does the job beautifully and needs a bit of a push, but with some wriggling it’s easy enough. Only reason for 4 stars is mine is more of a light grey, rather than a white. It’s not too bad, but doesn’t really match the surrounding white of the space.

Very sturdy tension curtain pole. I got this for a thermal door curtain in my living room as the other one wasn't up to much scratch and this is so much better. It fits perfectly (after a little tweaking) and has survived my cats playing either side of the curtain with each other (the other one would fall down if they did that so I had to remove it). Very, very happy.

A perfect curtain pole which fits the width of the room, without the need for drilling or screws. It was easy enough to put in place on my own, although a bit of effort was required to compress the spring. The pole is very sturdy and strong with no possibility of sagging or slipping down and requires no extra supports at all. My curtains are fairly lightweight, but it would easily hold heavier curtains if required. I would highly recommend this curtain pole and will certainly be purchasing some more for other rooms in the not too distant future.

Bought 2 to put up Christmas garlands. Easy to install and look great. Bought 2 different sizes. The 110-210cm one feels quite sturdy. The longer one 210-310cm is fully extended and is great for the garland but don’t think it would take any weight.

Very sturdy and strong. Used for a 3m conservatory window to hang linen curtains as shade for the sun and didn’t want to drill or stick, this has proved to be perfect. Very pleased
