This product is exactly what I was looking for. I would however suggest applying a silicon jell if you are going to use these connectors outside. After I connected the wires, I applied a silicon jell to stop the wire from corroding and water accessing the wires.

However, they are easy enough to take one side apart if needed once in a while for service. They are waterproof and are well made. Think of them as a reusable Butt connector but without the need for crimping. Screw tightens clamping on wire strands. Tin the wire will make it easier but not really necessary.

Specialty product that works.

Well built and perfect to extend the line between my low power solar lights and panel. Very well built easy to use but pay attention to not invert polarity when using for DC CONNECTIONS.

I bought these to splice wires for string lights on my gazebo. So far they have lasted about a year in the Arizona sun and heat! Very happy with this product and I will be ordering for for my next project!
