Nice Sorbothane Pucks
Nice pucks for a better price than the name brand ones. I really don't see any difference between these and the more expensive ones with branding and different colors. I bought them to do vibration isolation for stereo gear, where they were not such a good match - no fault of the product though. They made the bass muddy sounding when inserted under my gear, so I asked to return them and Amazon arranged a return no problem. I'm sure they are great to absorb the frequency vibrations they were designed for and to go under optical gear but I can't comment on that. Sorry, this is a bit of a useless review but I wanted to give my opinion of the product being high quality and that folks shouldn't try to use the product for the purpose I did. I still don't quite understand the effects of various vibration control devices under audio gear - I would have thought these would have been great.

Good Item for the money
Didn't cancel out the vibrations 100 percent, but I suppose it depends on the integrity of the mount and tripod.

Doesn't remove all vibrations, just some. Maybe enough for you.
I put my scope on concrete and had a lot of wobble. These helped, but maybe by 20%.

Does the job
This does the job well for the price

They really work!
I was skeptical about these. My Telescope is small and it shakes really bad. And it doesn’t help that we get a lot of wind that just comes and goes. I got these today and tested them on Concrete patio. Almost no shake after focusing. The sake went from about 6 seconds to about 1. When you’re focusing on a planet that matters a lot. I’m very happy. No they don’t slide on the ground and I don’t want them too. That would defeat the purpose of stability and anti vibration. Love em’.

Helps with Vibration/Damping
The ‘jiggle’ of stars, planets using high magnification eyepieces in my telescopes has been reduced. But it is not a “MagicBullet”. You have to have a very steady mount that is well engineered - surprisingly few meet this basic element of visual astronomy. Younalso have to have heavy duty, solid tripod that again is sturdy and isn’t prone to vibrations/shaking. So the use of these pads reducing vibrations from the ground are important to improving the jiggling views My only real ‘complain’ is the slippery bottoms that provide reduced grip/contact with the ground. On a deck, the entire telescope can move under wind loads, especially lager OTAs that are almost like wind-sails. I glued some coarse fabrics to the bottoms of these ‘pucks’ and that has helped the skidding/slipping. Maybe if the manufacturer had considered this and made the bottom contact surface with an ‘abrasive’ finish, this would solve the issue. Hence my 4 Stars Review.
