Great small rechargable light
I bought this for a law enforcement duty backup on the recommendation of a co-worker. I wanted something small, discrete, lightweight, no sharp edges to snag clothes, LED, and easily rechargeable. I fashioned a pocket clip from an old Surefire flashlight I had and can carry this in my front slash hand pocket with ease. I place it on the recharger after every shift so it's fully charged for the next day. It's very bright and the front bezel slides in/out for a broad or narrow beam. Manipulating the rear on/off button can be a tiny bit tricky one-handed if you want to double-click for strobe, or hold in for a dim setting. That said though, it's still a great backup to carry that doesn't take up much space, doesn't have to go into a belt holster, and is very bright for use.The charging dock for it works great on a desktop or in a locker, and can be plugged into a standard 12v charger in a vehicle. A bonus of that is that I can take it on vacation with me and plug it in our popup camper to make sure it stays charged at night. The only complaint I have with it is the wrist lanyard. The part of the lanyard that attaches to the light itself is a very narrow band and mine broke after a couple of months of use. It started to fray and once that began, there was no going back. One day it just gave up the ghost and went in the garbage. That's not a life-ender however. This is a great flashlight, is very very bright, very small, and easy to carry. I'd recommend it.

Wow! What a great flashlight!
This is just the very best flashlight I've ever owned. It is so bright that sometimes I have to use the lower setting to use it. The other night I was across the highway, (A four lane highway with a truning lane in the center,) from a lighted car lot. I was showing my friend my little flashlight. I shined the light on the cars across the highway and the lights on the cars reflected my flashlight like their lights were on! My friend said that I'd better quit shining my light across the highway or I'd get in trouble for shining lights on cars going by.Durning the day I can shine it on lighted florescent lights, lighted walls and lamps and I can see the circle of light from my flashlight. It's just so bright it's amazing it is so small and light. The only trouble I've had is learing how to use the on/off switch. It takes practice to get the lower light level and the flashing mode turned on. Once learned it's not a problem to operate at all.Charges easily but I've yet to have the battery go dead. I charge it every two weeks just in case.

Great light while it lasted, poor value overall.
I added this expensive little light to my daily carry stuff and used it almost every day for all kinds of tasks. Even clipped it to my cap to act as a headlamp on occasion. It was amazingly bright for such a small package - very handy. But the strobe mode is annoying and useless. The light lasted for about five months then wouldn't charge any more. I sent it back for warranty replacement a few weeks ago and haven't heard back. This summer, there was an email sent to all registered users saying that the company had been sold and it sounds like customer service is pretty uncertain at this point.

Overall great, but could be better!
One of my favorite flashlights. Has good output for its size. and is easy to carry in a pocket.I have two gripes about it though. One: The modes: High, Low and Strobe. High is great, but too bright for up close work sometimes. Low is good when you're looking for something in the middle of the night and your eyes are accustomed to the dark, but not so good for daytime use. Strobe....WHY do we keep getting a strobe function on nearly EVERY modern flashlight!? It's got VERY limited use. Just stop it! PLEASE remove strobe mode in future upgrades of this light and put in a nice MEDIUM light level! Two: The light level on high is unsteady at times. Don't know why. Either the driving circuit or the battery terminals don't seem to handle the energy flow well all the time. I'm lucky to have a LED Lenser store near by and they gave me a new battery for my original P5R thinking that would solve the problem. When that didn't fix it, they gave me a brand new P5R.2. Sweet! But it has the same issue. My brother has a different LED Lenser flashlight that does the same thing. So I'm thinking it's something in their design. That should be looked in to.LED Lenser customer service has been amazing for me! They even replaced my very first P5R that I accidentally put through the washer. I would give this product 5 stars if they could make the couple improvements from my complaints!
