Beautiful boots but not what I was looking for

So I've fancied the idea of purchasing FRYE boots for awhile. I've yet to have a pair of other brands of harness style boots last longer than a year. Although these are put up for a rainy day for events that require clothing's that aren't my daily routine they fit great. Construction seems superior to others and I'm proud to say I know own a pair of a FRYE product.

Not real Frye boots if you know what to look for you know. Didn’t even come to me in a box. Got the real ones from Frye today real leather and wooden heel not rubber.

The boots came and they were an American 12 despite Amazon UK advertising them as a UK 12. The boots themselves have gone downhill. I have owned three pairs of harness boots over the last 12 years and I still have them. I ordered these ones and I was shocked to see Frye's quality has declined so precipitously. The soles seemed flimsier and the heels just weren't as chunky or robust. I won't be ordering these again at any price. Instead I got some Chippewa engineer boots.
