Reliable and Easy-to-Use Wi-Fi Dongle
I purchased the TP-Link AC600 USB Wi-Fi Dongle to boost my PC’s wireless connectivity, and it has exceeded my expectations. Setup was a breeze—just plug it in, install the drivers (which are easy to download if needed), and you’re ready to go.The dual-band feature is fantastic. I mainly use the 5 GHz band, which delivers fast and stable internet speeds, perfect for streaming and gaming. The compact design is a bonus as it doesn’t get in the way, even when connected to a tight USB port. For the price, this little dongle is an excellent upgrade for older PCs or laptops without built-in Wi-Fi. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a simple and effective solution to wireless connectivity!

Surprisingly effective - recommended despite initial problems
The dongle is for a second, non-networked desktop located away from my router. I plugged it into the rear of the desktop and the reception was poor and intermittent. On-line suggestions were for an extension cable mounted away from the floor and computer. I had a 2-metre one and it was successful. Reception is fine. It was easy to set up, once the cause of the problem was known. The dongle is cheap, and looks it, but it works fine now. It would have been five star had the cable not been required. Recommended with the caveat of budgeting for the extension cable.

Great product for my iMac!
I’ve bought a number of TP-Link products over the years and aways found them to be of high quality and easy to set up. This product was no exception. I had read reviews from many people installing the T2U Nano on Windows but not many on Mac. It could not have been easier, I downloaded the software from another computer, copied it to a USB memory stick and had it installed in less than 5 minutes (I am running Mac OS 10.15). Rather than have to fork out on an expensive repair for my old 27in iMac it now has a new lease of life. I have found the connection to be quick with no drop outs so far.

AC600 Wi-Fi dongle. Fast, long-range, cockpit-ready. Built for rigs, streams, and mobile setups.
Type: Dual-band USB Wi-Fi dongleBands: 2.4GHz (up to 200 Mbps) + 5GHz (up to 433 Mbps)Antenna: 5dBi high-gain, adjustableInterface: USB 2.0/3.0Compatibility: Windows 11/10/8.1/8/7/XP, Mac OS X 10.9–10.14Use Case: Desktop rigs, mobile setups, site cabins, AV streaming, festival Wi-Fi boosts💥 Why It Deserves Big ComplimentsThis dongle is a proper plug-and-play upgrade. The dual-band support lets you switch between 2.4GHz for range and 5GHz for speed—perfect for streaming, gaming, or remote work. The 5dBi high-gain antenna is the standout feature: it locks onto signals better than compact dongles and reduces dead zones, especially in larger rooms or site cabins2.Setup is clean—Windows 10/11 auto-installs, and older systems can grab drivers from TP-Link’s site. It’s lightweight, portable, and ideal for rigs that need a fast, stable connection without internal Wi-Fi cards.✅ Big WinDual-band AC600 speeds—up to 433 Mbps on 5GHzHigh-gain antenna—better range and fewer dropoutsPlug-and-play setup—no faff for most systemsCompact and portable—easy to stash or travel withSecure WPA/WPA2 encryption—protects your connectionAmazon’s Choice badge + 40,000+ ratings⚠️ Minor Trade-OffsMac support limited to OS X 10.14 and belowNo Wi-Fi 6 support—best for casual use, not heavy-duty gamingBulky with antenna attached—may block nearby USB portsRealtek chipset may cause rare disconnections on some systemsNo Bluetooth—Wi-Fi only🧍♂️ Personal VerdictUsed this in a site cabin and AV rig—held signal, streamed clean, and stayed cool. For around £13, it’s a proper dongle that adds speed, reach, and cockpit-grade control to any desktop or mobile setup. If you want reliable Wi-Fi without the faff, this one’s a winner.

Frustratingly bad
Huge scam like all TP Link adapters. I've bought so many of these over the years hoping I could get a good wi-fi connection, it has never, ever worked, and always proved to be such a headache. I can't switch this from 2.4ghz to 5ghz on my PC, and I can't find a solution for it. The speed is terrible. Just disconnects randomly, even with the software installed.Literally, I have always, always hated wi-fi adapters, none of them work as intended on any of the systems I have used them on, even after rigorous attempts to "fix" the problems that come packaged with this hardware.Over the years, instead of using wi-fi adapters for internet connection on my PC, it has proved to be faster and more reliable to connect my phone to my PC via USB and tether my phone's wi-fi connection instead. It is so frustrating that I have bought a product many times for the sole purpose of internet connectivity, yet my phone is able to do it 1000x more efficiently. So bloody frustrating. Do not buy. You will pull your hair out.
