Organic Freeze Dried Wild Blackberry Powder

Absolutely delicious -- like the real fruit! I sprinkle it on fresh bananas and blueberries, add some protein powder; it's a totally yummy breakfast.**Note to manufacturer: Please, though, for this rather expensive price: give consumers a product with a better envelope closure!!! The envelope doesn't stay closed --- so the powder clumps up and doesn't remain fresh.**Note to consumers: repackage it or put it in a second sealed plastic bag.Delicious, though!

I made a blackberry swirl layer cake with Ermine Frosting (aka cooked flour frosting, miracle frosting). This particular icing I didn’t think would work well with the addition of liquids (ie cooked or puréed berries), so I decided to try using freeze-dried powder. It worked out great. This is a three-layer cake and so I made a double batch of King Arthur Baking’s “vanilla ermine frosting”. Once complete, I removed about a half cup and sifted in the berry powder a little at a time, mixing really well to prevent any clumps. I had no issues with clumping at all. I then mixed it back into the rest of the frosting. This was my first attempt and it took me many repetitions of that process to get the flavor and color I desired. In the end, I’d say I used about a half cup of the powder to achieve the color you see in the photo. It does get a bit darker as it sits. Product is nice and I will use it again and experiment with other flavors.

We like to add raspberry and blackberry powder to our daily smoothies for the anti-inflammatory properties. This small bag of blackberry powder has a nice scent and blends well. We're happy with this product.

I add these to my morning protein drink and it is delicious. Thank you for a great product.

Just right for my bowl in the morning! No more disappointment with freezer burned berries and moldy fresh berries. I`m 68 yrs. old and feel great!

I bought this powder to add to French Macarons. It is very flavorful and a fine powder. No seeds! It added color and flavor….perfect
