Question 1

should the patches be wet with liquid after you take off the back sticker? or just sticky & slightly gel-y? (may have purchased an old set)

Accepted Answer

they should have a gel feeling but still need to adhere to your skin - the gel is absorbed - should not be dry and should feel cool and tingly. I like to leave on for 45 minutes for the best results.

Question 2

Why does this have aluminum as an ingredient?

Accepted Answer

The ingredient is Aluminum Glycinate, not actual aluminum. Aluminum Glycinate is not even close to pure aluminum however we understand how this ingredient can cause confusion. Pure aluminum is not added to any skincare or makeup product on the market. Compounds (mixtures of aluminum like Aluminum Glycinate) are safely used in not just personal care products but foods and medicines as well. Only traces of aluminum are found in these compounds and long term daily use is completely safe. Additionally, these compounds contain significantly less aluminum than what naturally occurs in plants, vegetables and the human body. As a clean skincare brand, we would never put ingredients in our products that could cause harm to anyone. Finally, you can also view the favorable rating of this ingredient by the industry’s top “green” ingredient rating system here: www.ewg.org/skindeep/ (search DIHYDROXYALUMINUM AMINOACETATE (synonym of Aluminum Glycinate).
