Hunter Safety System Lifeline – Treestand Safety Rope System with Ground-to-Stand Fall Protection & Silent Climbing

This is a high quality rope made to withstand sudden shock from an accidental fall. This particular lifeline is reflective so it makes spotting your stand site simple in the dark. Everything comes ready for use. The prusik knot is already tied. As I’ve gotten older I’m not as agile as I used to be, and for peace of mind I purchased this item. I believe everyone should be using something like this to prevent tragic hunting accidents. The cost is reasonable and well worth your life.

I personally know people who have been badly injured by incidents w/ lockons and climbers. I never used to use those uncomfortable and difficult harnesses that the stands are required to come with. Having 3 little girls at home makes me think a little differently about falling out of a tree having climbed countless trees and hung stands for years without any protection... I tell anybody I know now the same advice I received after almost falling 30 feet from an ol man climber... BUY A COMFORTABLE HARNESS SO YOU WILL WEAR IT. A good HSS, I have the flex hybrid, you will love and will become part of your essential gear - comfortable and super simple to put on. I have a tree climber line for my climbers and bought this as I have always been leery of lock-on stands and careful to closely inspect cables and hardware. I still do that but know from the time I clip into the line at the bottom on the prussit knot I'm secured. Plus I just have a bowline knot in the bottom I just clip my bag to and climb up then hoist my gear once situated. If you have a loved one, significant other that hunts climbers or lockons - buy them a HSS and appropriate lines and they will wear it, you can rest assured you won't get that call. I was stubborn and ignorant to not have one before, and thankful that a close call was what woke me up and prompted me to start using the HSS products. Having gotten a text from a buddy that fell 25' and crawled to get cell signal to find them with both legs badly broken, helped them get out and watched them lose their job... I STILL didn't use one. Now, I don't climb without it.

Used this last fall I am an old hunter and wanted a way to protect myself going up and down the ladder to my tree stand This is a heavy-duty system and works to provide this extra security. It comes with a full body harness/s, always your best protection. My only issue is that the rope comes with intertwined luminescent cords, you can see these ropes from extreme distance. I didn't experience any issues from game, but it did attract poachers to my stand I don't think most hunters need this feature

Great product, very sturdy, luminous strands in the line can be seen way off when hit with minimal light source, makes it easy to safely climb up and down safely

Anyone who has used a climber stand knows how annoying it can be to stay tied off to the tree while climbing. Because of this most hunters just climb unsecured and then clip in when they reach their desired height; hardly ideal. Previously I used a tree strap hooked to my harness and just moved the strap as I climbed, but this rope system does away with all that hassle. Just move the loop up the tree as you climb the first time, then leave the rope secured to the tree from then on. To ascend or descend, simply move the Prusik knot up and down. The covered carabiner is icing on top. Overall great product; it keeps me clipped in from the time i leave the ground until the hunt is over without the need for a bunch of rope or straps.

Installed 20ft up a pine tree. Fully supports my body weight (~190 lbs) and is very easy to use on a harness that attaches to the back (also used on a rock climbing harness that attaches to waist, recommend the back for hunting). Should be noted, as the seller states, this product does not provide a way to scale the tree for install, you need to supply your own way. However, once installed, this product is rock-solid. I'll be putting one in every stand I hang. They earned a customer for life.

Hunting blacktail deer in Western Oregon is a tight quarters affair. The last two times using this product, I had deer within 10 yards stare at the rope dangling next to the tree and today, it spooked them. I'd recommend securing this to the base of the tree or pull up the slack once you are done climbing. As for ease of use and quality, this product had more than met my needs.

It’s a good product. Well made and secure. I felt a lot safer with it on and when I moved to another stand and didn’t bring it I wished I had. It’s a small amount a money to spend given the consequences of a fall.
