This looks exactly like a wasp nest. No matter the type of wasp you have living on your property, they are territorial and will not build if they see another nest. This one is hive-like. Those parasitic wasps (gross) will build nests like these and live in their hive and wait to attack you and get all their family to come and sting you, too. Wasp stings hurt like the dickens and can also be dangerous if you have an allergy to their venom they inject when they sting. Did you know they can sting you over and over? Not like a bee that will take one for its hive and sting one and done. Wasps are a different type of stingy thing and very aggressive and they have a ton of friends. My husband got a huge reminder, and painful, too, through a leather work glove. That is how deep they can sting. Then they call their friends and it's a party for them when all he wants to do is trim the bushes so we look like we live here. Mud daubbers or paper wasps are more solitary. But they still sting and will still come at you if they have their papery (impressive in geometric terms) nest on the side of your home, playing the worst game of hide and seek in the bushes where they have an obvious advantage due to size (wasps never play by the rules) or under the garage windows 🪟 or anywhere they think is acceptable to build and proceed to harass you for daring to walk past *their* territory. I've done sprays. I've done traps. Those do not work or if they happen to catch one, there are friends and family still hiving it up. Did you know they remember faces? Don't believe me? Google it. Forget elephants. Wasps are like that person who is aggressive in a non passive way and remembers every.thing. even if it happened last summer and they will punish you by stinging. And then call their friends. Sprays are temporary and a good idea if they are coming for you but it's only a temporary solution. And if their friends know through the chemical "pheromone" they send out the wasps can smell from at least a mile away and lasts for weeks. Caught one? Wasp's friends will know. And they will stalk you out. And they remember faces. And they will sting you for what you did to their friend. Even if friend is merely frightened by you or your dog or your neighbor banging on the drums all day, they will take it out on you. Total projection and low-key narcissism but hey, I'm no wasp therapist. I just study their behavior. And know things. This is a LONG TERM, FOREVER, INCREDIBLE, ACTUALLY WORKS, solution that I was recommended to try by a woman who is a horticulurist (grows flowers for a living and is outside a lot and has probably been stung a lot because wasps are pollinators, too!). We don't want to hurt them. We just want them to move. Stop squatting at our place and go next door. Or that huge whatever tree or barn where your X rides horses. We don't want anyone or anything to get hurt we just want to enjoy *our* property. And let the pollinators flourish. And help our farmers out. The weather here changes on a dime and it's tornado alley. We get horrible storms and they have hail and pounding rain and yet there my fake nest stands, waving proudly in the wind like our beautiful flag, delivering its paper composition like the post office, in rain, and sunshine. Saying, "hello other wasps, I live here. Do not even think for one millisecond that you can build a nest of any kind. Mud? Don't care. I'll blow it down like the big, bad wolf. And survive through a tornado, because we just might be in Kansas, like Dorothy and Toto. The size of this product is exactly the same as a hive nest, so you know it's a perfectly replicated form of just tricking nature. Don't feel badly. Animals do it all the time. Biomimicry. And this is an excellent example. We got a bundle and they were so inexpensive, so worth every cent, and they are incredibly lightweight, just as a wasp nest is in real life. It is an invention that deserves an award. And I know it will bring piece of mind, whether you have an allergy or not. Take back your territory with this product. Enjoy sitting outside. Don't let the wasps crash your party or scare you from enjoying what you work hard to have. I never heard tell of wasps paying rent or taxes like we do! Take back your power, your property, the fight and flight of your sympathetic nervous system that causes cortisol and stress and that is good for no one, oh, and your precious skin! In an entirely ethical and animal friendly way! They can move to a tree. Or the side of your neighbor's house. Not your problem! This is a problem SOLVER. You don't need to thank me. These have held up for almost 3 months, we have had really high winds and storming and other that their color changing they are still in one piece. We have been happy with them so far and would buy again if needed. They were easy to put up. We haven’t had as any wasps this year either.

The wasp decoy nests arrived on time and they were easy to put together and hang. They did not deter the wasps from landing and hanging out on my hummingbird feeders.

I put these up in spring this year. I don't have scientific evidence to back it up, but I rarely see any wasps at all flying around my patio, and haven't seen any nest building all summer.

These worked so well! Early this Spring, we noticed a bunch of yellow jackets around the back patio, so we ordered these for next day delivery, put one up in the front and one up in the back and haven't seen a yellow jacket since. I've seen a variety of bees in the front yard, but very few if any wasps. it's September and still looks good. I doubt they would work if there's already a nest there, so definitely put it up in early Spring.

These decoy wasp nests were very easy to assemble and hang, and they look realistic from a distance. I originally purchased them to help with a carpenter bee problem, but unfortunately I didn’t notice much of a difference. That said, I also have not had any wasps or hornets build nests in the areas where these were installed, so they may be helping in that regard. One downside is that the paper material fades and weathers over time when exposed to the elements, so don’t expect them to maintain their original appearance forever. Overall, they’re inexpensive, easy to set up, and may help deter some stinging insects, but the long-term durability could be better.

I think it actually is working! We had a pretty bad hornet population swarming between our house and the neighbors. My poor dog was terrified to go potty. We could not find the actual nest which made sprays ineffective. So we turned to traps. The traps were catching everything but only a few hornets. Finally, I put these up and we are on day three and it seems like they very well may be gone. I honestly was not sold on this and thought it was going to be a waste of money. However, it really does work.

I give this product 2 stars because the first year it did fine keeping the wasps away. But the 2nd year (this year), the wasps decided to build a REAL wasp nest INSIDE THE FAKE WASP NEST! Notice the shadow in the top right of the fake nest. Second pic is after my husband sprayed it with wasp killer. The next morning there were 15 dead wasps on the ground under it. Do with this what you will.

Tried so many DIY options before buying these, should have got these from the start. Our balcony had so many wasps from the field next door that it was almost unusable. I was shocked at how much of a difference the decoys made, they stopped coming almost entirely. They are super easy to set up and are sturdy enough to last the summer (although my balcony is covered so I don't know how water proof they are). The one thing I will say is that since they are so light, its very easy to lose one to the wind.

Does what they are designed to do

Previous summers, I had so many wasps in the backyard and they made a nest in the corner. Decided to put this up where the previous wasp nest was and now I had barely any wasps! I noticeable decline of wasps in my backyard and they did not build a nest. It does not get rid of them completely but enough to be more comfortable in my backyard.

Works like a charm. Lasts only one season but b because there are multiples and it is not too expensive, it is still worth it. I hang it around the house to keep other wasps from building nests.

They work wonders Excellent!! I’ve had issues with wasp and hornet nests on our property (1 acre) every summer. These are holding up well, may have to replace them next summer. Won’t go without them., no nest on our property since putting these up !!
