This item takes the place of gaffers tape or blue painter tape as a way to prevent tripping and to protect the cord.Great Idea and works Perfect. Only issue is watch out when you go to pull these up. On Industrial carpet squares the Velcro is so strong it will try to pull the tile up with it. "Time to put your foot down" on the tile before you pull it up the cord protector. It's well made and Works Great. I Found this item looking for cord covers and so it has been a total upgrade from previous methods. I think it actually is safer than any tape. So if you have the short pile commercial carpet (tiles or roll) Give them a try.

Doesn’t work on all carpets, but when it does, so much better than tape. Easy on and off. When finished, roll it up and put it away for next time. Always ready to use.

I have berber carpet in my basement (very low pile). I needed to cover up the cord to a new treadmill that was a total trip-hazard. I bought gaffer's tape and went after it. Within a few days, the tape just wasn't holding, and the cord (thick and twisty) was stronger than the tape's adhesive.Enter this cable cover. Took a chance that it would stick to my carpet and it does... like velcro (which, of course, it is!). Weeks later, the cord is still snugly held in place and will trip nary an unsuspecting person.If you have the correct kind of carpet, this stuff will work. If you have a thick pile carpet, I can see how this just can't stick. Before you buy, just test your carpet with anything velcro that you have around the house. With the right carpeting, this is a great product!

I try not to shop on line. I prefer small business/brick and mortar. That being said, THIS PRODUCT IS EXCEPTIONAL! I needed it for our office carpet to cover cords ( thick, new, still very twisted from packaging) and prevent fall hazards. This product rolls out smoothly, does not get tangled or stuck to its self. It holds firmly the moment you put it down BUT it is also very easy to lift to reposition and does not snag or mark up the carpet! It blends well with the carpet and somehow made pretty thick cords nearly flat and smooth to the point that you don't even notice a level change when walking over it. We started out with a 10 foot roll but the office is so pleased we have ordered enough to redesign the whole office cord layout and about 70% of the employees have ordered some for their homes and other family/friends needs.

What you want is a strip of velcro connected by material, that adheres to your rug and makes like... a patch. When you color match it to your rug, you imagine this is going to be the solution.What you get is... some velcro strips that kind of grab, especially if you have a low-pill carpet. Low carpet owners beware, it WILL adhere... just needs some stomping and pressing.All said and done, it formed a nice patch to go over the separation line in my aging carpet, that i later added a nice runner rug over. Would i recommend this to others? probably not. Would i buy it again? probably not.

I was skeptical, but it works great. Read g some of the other reviews, I decided to not vacuum over this thing for a couple of weeks to make sure it was real snug with the carpet. It’s stayed in place the last 2 months with no problems from the vacuum cleaner. Great thing is it does pull up easy with your hand if you need it.It was also really easy to cut to line up with my corners. Highly recommend for small and or flat cords, if you only have a couple to run across the floor.

I wasn't to sure this would work to well, but low & behold it worked out great. It lays right down & grips the carpet very well. So far it appears it will stand the test of time. The price was very good. protects well.
