Works Great!!!
Perfect! It is doing exactly as it advertises. We ordered the 15ft. size as our pool is 12ft. That extra bit is really nice and made set-up a breeze. Our pool is on asphalt that has a very slight grade(about 3 inches from one side to the other) and there are a few gouges in the asphalt about 3/4's of an inch deep also. I just put pool filter sand in them with the liner on top and Bingo!! No holes. Highly recommended.

I've tried it all
We're pool people, but we moved and now have an above ground pool that we take down and put back up every season. We have a sand base, but over the winter months tree debris, rocks, junk migrates in so there will always be imperfections under the pool. I've tried heavy duty tarps and even a carpet remnant. This isn't super thick, but it's sort so.itnsort of absorbs some of the bumps, and I LOVE that water drains through it. Now it WON'T keep your pool safe from rocks if you don't do your best to get ride of all if them and provide a smooth, clean pool base, but they definitely are a really big help. I'm very glad I'll be able to power wash it and store it at the end of the season.

Read reviews and then purchase if you can accept the thinness
I read the reviews for products and ones like it so I was already aware that it wasn't very thick. That seems to be a common complaint so save yourself some hassle and skip ordering this if that's important to you. Having said that, I agree with other reviewers that it otherwise meets the promises made: 1) It's strong, enough to protect the pool liner from woody weeds, rocks, and missed nut shells (we have a lot of nut trees nearby). 2) It's cut to fit our pool, with little excess. 3) The inside of the liner feels a little softer when walking in the filled pool, unexpected for such a thin felt. There are other liners out there. We ultimately decided on this one because it was less expensive and black. I'm glad we made this purchase. I'm adding some photos so you can get an idea what it looked like as it arrived in the package from Amazon, unfolded, and the instructions for use. Update - 3 months later (August): I'm so glad we bought this. It has made a real difference in how the pool floor feels. I'll be interested to see how well it looks when the pool is taken down in a few months but so far the edges don't show any signs of deterioration.

Love it!
Last year I used a similar product for our 14 ft round pool, it was bit smaller but I had it on hand from a previous year and smaller pool. Despite clearing the area and treating it with weedkiller, the weeds grew into it and made it really difficult to pull the pad up when we removed the pool for the winter. So this season I decided to get a larger ground cloth so to extend beyond the edges of the pool and the small fence around it (it's a lawn guy thing). Anyway, this pad is perfect. Put down weed block cloth then the pad and set up the pool. Cut the old circular pad (which was smaller anyway) to extend the area around the pool by at least 18". This creates an area to walk around the pool when cleaning and a place to put bug deterring plants like lemon grass in large pots. The lawn guy still sprays the white fence with chopped up grass but the inside is nice to walk on and it looks great. Amazing how soft a felt surface like this is to walk on, both in the pool and out. Not looking forward to yanking up the weeds in the fall but at least I know I can always get another pad from Amazon and make that border even larger next year......lol.

If you are expecting a thick floor pad this is not it! It's made of a felt-like material
This is not as thick as I assumed. I was still concerned about grass coming through it once we received it, so we put a tarp under the floor pad, the floor pad, then the above ground pool. So far so good, for a smaller above ground pool. I wouldn't recommend it to be under a above ground pool that stays up year round.

Good Pool pad :-)
This pool pad is just what I wanted!! It is just fine and I would recommend it to others for there Above Ground Pools. After preparing the area for the pool, putting down sand, Tarp and this Liner I am fully satisfied. Unlike last time I set up the pool you could feel the granulates of sand under the pool. With this Armor Shield Pool Floor Liner Pad you don't feel anything but a soft bottom of the pool. Very Happy!! :-)

Very happy
This is awesome!! As said before it is thin but the difference is noticeable. Pool bottom is more cushy than without and it does prevent sharp things from cutting the liner. It made it super easy to spread liner flat when setting up with this underneath because it's more slick than just dirt or sand. Easy to get those small creases out and have the bottom nice and smooth. We missed a few stems upon set up so it was easy to stick my hand under the liner pad and dirt to grab the objects and pull them out even with a few inches of water in the pool. We could then flatten it out again. Very forgiving. So far no grass has grown through it but not biggie to spray some weed killer if it does. Very happy with product!

Seems fine, despite apparent product substitution
I ordered the Armor Shield brand because the product description said it would resist even glass, and that brand had good customer reviews. The product delivered was another brand, and no mention of resistance to glass was made on the included paperwork. I think this might be an identical product made to the same specs, but I have no way to be sure. This pad is slightly larger than the stated size, and not a perfect circle. It extends 2 to 6 inches beyond the pool bottom in places, so it was easier to set up the pool than if it were exactly the same size as the pool. My pool legs are supported by bricks, and I put the pad between the bricks and the plastic feet of the pool legs in places, and had no problem with the legs sliding on the pad once the pool was full. The pad seems to make a good cushion between the coarse sand and vinyl pool liner. This pad is not the single piece of synthetic felt I expected. It was sewn together from 3 or 4 scraps of synthetic felt fabric, and appears to be the same product used to pad landfill liners, which would be a very good thing. The seams are very flat, and the thread seems to be of decent quality. Only time will tell if it's as durable as the fabric.
