Saved my tent pole system!
So easy to use. Just slip it over the damaged pole and duct tape each end. Works great!

The diameter of my tent rod is 1/2 inch at the widest and I got the 5/8 inch and it worked perfectly and snugly and my tent held strong. only thing it was almost too snug when I put it on and hard to adjust once I got it on, but I secured it with duct tape (just in case) and when tent take-down time came I knew it would be hard for me to remove, so when I packed up the tent I just left that one rod to stick out of the bag. But no regrets!! it is cheaper then buying new tent rods, not complicated like those broken rod kits with rope, and a super quick remedy for a broken rod - just what I needed. My tent is old and I dont want to pay for a new one now.

Good, lightweight insurance and backup
I bought this as a backup for in-the-field repairs. On our last over-nighter our three-person tent had one of the poles shatter. I fixed it on the fly with a bunch of duct-tape for the night and then purchased a repair kit to replace the broken section.Now that I've replaced that section and bought this splint, I hope to never have to do it again. But if I do, this is wrapped with 3 feet of duct-tape and tucked into the tent bag ready to go.

Worked perfectly.
I threw one of these in with my camping gear, (just in case!) and ended up giving it to the buddy we were with after their pole split. Worked perfectly! It was a pretty severe split. We just slid this over it and duct taped it in place. Saved their trip!

Great item for emergency repair.
It’s all fun and games until the tent pole breaks! This would have repaired my tent pole but my poles were a weird size. No need to replace poles with this simple and effective fix.

Not actually 5/8.
Size not as advertised. Supposedly the 5/8 will fit tent poles up to 5/8. However 5/8 is actually the tube's OUTSIDE diameter. Inside diameter is .55 inch
