A good supplement!!
I have used multiple tubes for my cat upon my vets recommendation since he was a kitten and now he is five so I can safely say this helps to keep his coat smooth and shiny and also helps with his overall health, energy levels and gut health I feel. He takes this easily there are no offensive smells attached to it. Check with your VET before you start.

Boosts immunity, helps pets, great product!
Lysine is an immune booster & very helpful for immunocompromised cats & dogs. My vet prescribed lysine for my dog that I measured out & sprinkled on his food. Then my 21 yr old kitty caught a cold while I was sick too & vet prescribed lysine in this gel Viralys form daily for him in his old age to help keep him from getting sick. He lived to be 23! The gel form is much easier to give to cats & they either like the flavor or can’t tell when it’s on their food (I’m not sure which); & can be put directly on the tongue if using a syringe. I just put a 1cc needle-less syringe to the tip of the Viralys tube & draw while squeezing a tiny bit on the tube & no waste/no mess. I just put 0.5cc on top of my kitty’s canned food once a day & the tube lasts quite a long time for 1 cat, so not bad! Sadly, he was my little antique by time he reached his 23rd b-day & departed. I’m now using Viralys to help keep a FeLV very immunosuppressed cat from getting sick (along w/ no exposure to other cats or any sick people & keeping her indoors only) so she can live a happy life as long as possible w/o succumbing to every virus & bug that comes near. It’s a challenge but one of love. So I immediately started her on Viralys in hopes that it might help even in this severe case. For most pets, this is hands down a very good choice!! The verdict is still out in the case of the cat I’m trying to help that has essentially no immunity at all, but it sure won’t hurt her & just might help a little too. I do know it’s a great product from my own past experience & also because it was vet reccommended for my sweet ancient little guy as well as previous knowledge & use of lysine for people & dogs.

Helped my cat
My vet recommended this for an outdoor cat that I had brought indoors. I was skeptical but it actually worked to clear up her congestion and watery eyes and she gained weight. I can't say that she really liked it despite the maple flavoring, but the main thing is it worked.

Good for the immune system
Recommended by the breeder for my first Maine Coon. Both my Maine Coons love it. My Siamese mix does not and he’s the one that really needs it. Wish they offered a different flavor like chicken. He might eat it then.

Good product
Took my cats a little time to get used to. It's maple flavor. It costs more than others. I keep this one and another brand on hand bc my female seems to sneeze a lot. Indoor cat so vet thinks maybe something she picked up from outdoors. She was a shelter cat. Has great health benefits. Good quality. It's cheaper on here than at the vets. Smells like maple syrup.

Works, needs fussy steps for fussy cats!
First of all my cat is the fussiest of all the cats alive and true to form, he sniffed a small blob of this and walked away. He did not try to bury it like he does when he is truly disgusted so I thought there might be a slight chance I could trick him into licking some. I devised a plan... I took a tiny blob (about 1/8 of a teaspoon) and smeared a thin film on a small flat plate. I took ten of his absolute favorite treats and stuck them on top of the lysine smear. He ran to me when he heard the treat bag crinkling and sniffed suspiciously at his treats. Something was "off" they didn't smell quite right but, out of ten he ate eight. I did this for a few days and slowly got the blob up to about a quarter of a teaspoon at a time. And he is eating all ten. There is still some lysine smear left on the plate but I'm desperate. It's September and when winter comes his runny nose gets so much worse living in the northeast. I think I'm going to keep it at a quarter of a teaspoon smear, four times a day, for another week before I increase the size of the blob. I estimate he is getting about half his dose instead of a full teaspoon determined by the amount of smear left on the plate. This morning is the first time in about three years I noticed his nose wasn't draining and dried around the edges! I'm happy. No, my cat, true to form did not like the taste of this lysine but persistence prevailed. He loves his treats, even if they have a little smear of lysine stuck to them he will still eat them.
