I used the carbide tool as a drill bit to drill down a door latch and now the door locks properly.

This rotary file was used to make the hole in my basement door's strike plate bigger so I could close the door and have it latch. It got the job done in no time and now I have a safe secure door in my hallway that closes off the entrance to the cellar steps. It was like this for years because I was sure I couldn't do it myself.
