Aqua Joe AJFJH50-58-PRO FiberJacket Non-Expanding Kink-Free Garden, RV, Marine and Camper Hose, Ultra-Lightweight, Drinking Water Safe, ft, 50-Feet x 5/8-Inch

1.) Purchased aqua joke #1. After about 10 uses sprung a leak, catastrophic failure. Hmmm, maybe I just got a bad one. 2.) Purchased aqua joke #2. This one came with a blue and white label on it that states and I quote... "first time use, fully extend hose and then fill with water." I took that to mean the VERY first time but come to find out I believe it means every time!!! lol? So, the VERY first time before using it I straightened it out, all 50' of it, and THEN filled the hose with water as instructed. I was thinking that maybe that is why the first one failed. Nope. My 2nd time using this hose, catastrophic failure #2. I kept the hose in one of those plastic vase looking hose holders with the spigot end coming out the hole in the bottom. I took out the hose which I just laid in the vase holder, set it on the ground and within seconds of turning on the water (barely) it blew up. I'm sorry to report what I believe they mean is that you have to straighten out the hose with zero kinks in it... every... single... time before turning it on or it WILL FAIL. A kink in this hose before or while filled is a death sentence to the hose and your money. You can NOT have a kink in this while storing it. Read that again... you can NOT have a kink in this hose, not one single solitary bend in this hose while storing it. Just how in the world this company is allowed to sell this junk is beyond me. DO NOT BUY THIS HOSE!!! This is not an expandable hose nor is it a heavy duty plastic hose. It's an in-between piece of puke. It does nothing good and is all bad. Think about it, with an expandable hose you can let the water out and throw it in a container, no fuss no muss. With a plastic hose you can do that to but if it gets a kink all you do is straighten out the kink and you're on your way. With this one just one bend anywhere and the hose will fail. DO NOT BUY THIS HOSE!!!

It worked good up until it didn't. We used it for about a month when it split open. My previous experience with this company was good. We have another hose that we have had for over a year. However, the money we paid for this hose is too much when it only lasts for a month.

I honestly don’t think I can put into words how disappointed with this purchase, and the company’s customer service that I have been. Without being dramatic, if aqua Joe made every hose in the entire universe, I would sooner carry water in my mouth to water my garden then I would purchase a single item from them again. Around seven days after my return window closed the internal sleeve on this hose split open, causing it to leak everywhere. I immediately called aqua Joe, and was told that I needed to register the product before any warranty claim could be started. I registered the product that day, and started my email communications with the company, where they inform me that I was approved for a replacement. They told me that the 100 foot hose that I had purchased was out of stock but they would be willing to give me a 50 foot hose, worth 50% less than I paid as an equal exchange. When I told him that was not an acceptable exchange, I would take 2- 50 foot hoses to make up the length and money that I had spent originally on their product, they told me they could not do that. They then informed me that the hose that I had purchased was on a multiple week back order and they did not know when it came back in stock, but I could wait until then. When I told him that was also not acceptable since I had less than 40 days, they inform me that they could give me a store credit for the total that I paid on Amazon, but that the credit would only be able to be used on the aqua Joe website, prices are around 20% higher for the same items. Even if I were to take the store credit, I could not buy the exact hose that failed without coming out of pocket additionally. On top of this experience, there was a point of 10 days with complete radio silence from aqua Joe after I declined their offer for 50 foot hose. On top of the customer service being absolute garbage, the hose still tangles if you don’t unwrap it correctly. The flexibility of it is nice, but only if you’re looking to spend money on a new hose every 45 days.

This is a great hose. Very light, durable, easy to use, flexible.

Terrible hose. Leaked after 4 uses. I had it replaced under warranty 2 times because each replacement hose leaked after 3 or 4 light, careful uses on grass. The leaks occurred in a spot that gets no wear or abrasion.. Stored on a plastic hose hanger. So 3 hoses and 3 leaks. Seem to develop leaks at the folded area of the hose. I would suggest a design or manufacturing issue. Asked for my money back from Aqua Joe as no point trying a 4th time. Received a credit to use on their website. Very disappointed as i have other Sun Joe, Snow Joe, Aqua Joe products and they have been very good.

I was initially pleased to finally have a hose that is not a burden to handle. It is indeed extremely light and a pleasure to use. Meanwhile, the fun brutally stopped about a month after using it. The inside tube ruptured and water was leaking through the fiber jacket. It was, for sure, a manufacturing defect. I contacted SnowJoe (SunJoe) and they quickly sent me a replacement hose under warranty. Since they did not request the original product, I performed an autopsy on the failed hose. The inner tube did split along the fusing line, which suggests a possible manufacturing defect. Once the new hose arrived, I installed and used it. My heart was replenished with joy once again. Dark times would come back less than two months later. The new hose started pouring water from its jacket once again. Same surgery. Same cause of death. Now, unlikely to be a manufacturing defect. In the end, they both ended in the trash can. I bought another similar product from another manufacturer - a green ultralight auto-expanding and auto-collapsing hose. I used it all summer and fall. Still working fine. In the end, the SunJoe hose is a nice looking and very light hose. But since hoses should not be disposable products - at least with a less than two months lifespan - you should really buy something else. And by the way, I do take great care of my stuff...

Actualización 11 de Abril 2023 un mes y semanas después de usar: Durante un mes funciono excelente, superaba mis expectativas, con presión medida parecía soportar sin problemas 60PSI pero hoy se reventó a un mes y una semana de uso .... Actualización 15 de Mayo 2023 Después de repara la manguera 4 veces, me doy cuenta de lo siguiente: 1.- la manguera interna es de 1/2" no de 5/8" es una mentira: aun que el hule interno es de 1/2" sin presión esta se estira hasta un poco mas de los 5/8" la publicidad indica que son 5/8" sin presión. 2.- La manguera interna de hule tiene un surco a lo largo de toda la manguera, que es donde se unió el tubo por termofusión, este surco se abre constantemente con la presión de agua.

Needed a lightweight hose that would actually wrap around our hose holder - our last one was so stiff and would kink whenever we tried to put it away. This one is easily taken out to water and put away without kinking or being stiff! Watering the plants now feels easy and not like a struggle.
