Built to last!
I love this thing........ actually, just recently purchased several of the "Hog Leg" cable attachments from these guys and way-happy with all of it. I assumed the fat-bar-better-for-forearms line hype was marketing BS until after the first workout (which did not include an isolated forearm component), everyone noted the "WOKE-FOREARM" feeling (in a good way). Built to last a lifetime, for sure. Excellent Buy!

What it says it is, it is
What's to say it is what it claims to be and we use it for a variety of exercises. The bar itself is heavy, sturdy.

Great bar minus the stickers
This bar does exactly what I wanted it to. I wanted a thick grip attachment to perform bicep curls and tricep pressdowns on my new functional trainer. I use the wide grip for curls and narrow grip for pressdowns. I've seen negative reviews that state the bar rotates with higher weight. I have not yet had that issue. The one suggestion I have for the manufacturer is to eliminate the use of stickers on the product. They inhibit the user's ability to hold onto the bar. There were two stickers, one that affected the close grip and one that affected the wide grip. It was a hassle removing them as one required the use of a product to get rid of the sticky residue. I would have given this bar 5 stars if not for the stickers.

Absolutely Defective
On this type of bar the outer handles must be outside the center of rotation. If not it will twist in your hand, the bicep position will twist to the triceps position and visa-versa. So you can't hold on to the bar if you are doing high weight. I called the company and this is what they said to me in a return email (my name is Mark, not Jason):"Hello Jason, my manager informed me you had called concerning an issue with the Hog Legs Subprimal bar purchased. So I wanted to shoot out a reply. In any event the rotational ‘issue’ that you regard as a defect, I’m assuming is experienced when the unit is used for Wide Grip Triceps Press Downs. If such is the case I can understand why you feel that way, as several others initially have. This is caused by the natural inclination to compare the Subprimals action, to that of common EZ Curl bars. However our bar is radically different. And designed to force user’s to ‘manage’ the rotation throughout the exercise range of motion, thereby forcing stabilizing muscles into action. To deliver greater overall muscle stimulation with less weight. So my advice is to lighten the load, grip the bar, and forget everything you know about the EZ Curl! Then slowly extend and bend your way through the set while managing the rotation. After a few workouts you will find the Subprimal is anything but EZ. But it damn sure delivers a great tricep workout! Let me know how you make out. Good Lifting & Kind Regards, Dan"This is a serious defect rendering the device useless for most users. There is no possible way a user can do heavy weight with a wide grip on this bar, no matter what the company's "line" is. They charge too much for shipping and you have to pay for return shipping too. So it will cost you if you make the same mistake I did.
