Rough Country 1.25" Front Seat Riser Kit for 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ - 1158 , Black

We have several Jeeps in n this house. From M715, CJ5, YJ and TJ so I've seen my fair share of garbage products available for Jeeps. This one is simple but a nice "upgrade" for the TJ's low seat height. The product is from Rough Country so expect a decent quality product. Lift pucks are dense plastic and will likely last longer than you'll own your Jeep. On a TJ the rear torx bit will be a T50, not 55 stated in the instructions. The hardware is good quality and my kit had the right # of bolts and washers, so no additional hardware store runs should be needed. Do yourself a favor and PB BLAST the crap out of the exposed seat bolts from under the Jeep before starting the project, you'll save yourself some grief. Naturally, as with any of my "simple" Jeep projects, an original seat bolt snapped on removal. Turning a 30 min project to a 2 hour one. Also, if you don't have an adjustable steering column, getting your legs through the space between the steering wheel and seat might be tight, especially if you have ham hocks for thighs. I'm 6'1" 200lbs but the one inch seat boost makes a nice difference. I'm happy.

Installation was easy all bolts fit in perfectly, so far so good, perfect value for the money

Took a little while to get used to , before I ordered it i got a piece of board that was 1 1/4 “ and put in the seat sat on it that told me I had to have the seat risers,glad i did. Also I am 6 ‘ tall and can see better now.

Rough Country did a SPECTACULAR job with this product! The risers were easy to install, and came with detailed instructions on how to nail this job to perfection. Total time to complete was 30 minutes. The product itself is tough, durable, and gives you the exact seat height my girlfriend and I were looking for. I'm 6ft tall, and she is 5'4"(and a half, she'd want me to out that in there) we both sat pretty low in the seats before installing these risers in our Golden Eagle 🦅. Now we can both see all the way over the hood, and still have PLENTY of head room. If you are considering buying this product, STOP 🛑 and just buy them already! 10 out of 10!

Works great,Perfect amount of lift, easy to install

Instructions pretty accurate but not perfect (it's a T50, not a T55). The bolts were a tight fit. The spacers are solid and easy to fit into place.

Does exactly what it says. Raises seat up 1 1/4. Included hardware worked with no issues. It brings the seat up just enough to a see in front of the hood little better and rest your arm on the window when it's open. Install tips, fold seat forward and remove the rear bolts, then put the seat back upright and slide it all the way reward to remove the front bolts. The rear bolt holes on stock sliders are straight holes the front are slotted which can cause issues if you install the new bolts and spacers in the wrong order. To install , put the spacers in , start the front mount bolts but leave them a little loose, fold the seat and snug up the rear bolts. Then put the seat back upright , slide it all the way back and tighten up the front bolts.

Worked as expected and very easy to install. I’m 5’4” and the seats in a 2004 Jeep TJ Wrangler sit low so this really helped. I actually added a few washer to get an extra 1/4” of height. Bonus - with the spacers you have more room for an amplifier and base shakers or even a small subwooferunder your seat

Puts my driving position back into a more upright and easy to drive position, useful upgrade and very popular with many other friends who own a TJ Wrangler
