This is a fun slingshot!
The foam strike X3 slingshot by monkey business sports is a lot of fun to play with. The ball holds securely between the slingshot arms and when the slingshot hammer is released, it packs a punch. It can shoot a very long distance. It has a lot of force behind it! These would be great to shoot at targets or I think kids would have a lot of fun having yard battles with these. It is nice that they come with foam Nerf type balls... that being said, I’m sure they could still hurt if you were in close proximity. These things really fly fast. I think the recommendation for eight and older is probably a good idea.

Fun little toy
The slingshot came quickly and we opened it up and got to playing right away. It was a hit for my son & he has been enjoying playing with it. It was super easy to use right out of the package & loads of fun. The balls can shoot a good distance especially if you pull further back on the slingshot. I like that the balls are softer so they don't hurt if you get hit with one. It's been a fun product for my son.

Oh yeah!
This toy is FUN! I was kind of wondering how nerf material would fly in a slingshot. How? Nicely! The nerf balls are actually coated with a tougher material that really allows these things to fly. So much so that I did say the old "don't point them at each other" to the kids, 5 and 3. Now they're not strong enough to pull this thing back and get it to fly anywhere near as fast as it could. But when I gave it a shot, modestly pulling the ball back got it going REAL well. Really, though, unless at point blank range, you're not going to do any harm to anyone, even a face shot. And certainly not running around shooting them at each other if your kids are older. As I said, mine are 5 and 3 so right up in your face and let 'em have it is a possibility if restrictions are not set right off the bat. Of course that doesn't stop me from sling'n' one at their butts once in a while! Nice example, Dad! Kidding aside, these things would be absolutely perfect for between 6 and 8 year olds.

Kids & Tweens Library program
I bought 2 of these Foamstrike slingshots and they worked very well. They are easy to hold onto and kids ages 5 - 13 had a lot of fun shooting the (slightly harder than 'Nerf'-like) balls at targets that I created out of wood and green painted cans for a library program with the theme of 'Angry Birds.' I also plan to use them at my son's b-day party. He is 5 and he had no problems shooting the balls. Very fun. Now I plan to buy more balls. Will use these over and over again!

Fun but flimsy
Pretty decent foam slingshot for kids. The brackets are made of fairly thin plastic and bend fairly easily. For younger kids this might not be much of an issue because they don't have the strength to bend them, but my 7 year old son eventually broke it. It was a fun toy though, and the foam balls are almost harmless.

Great Toys. Beware of "recommended" added items that don't fit
Really fun and simple sling shot that do no harm. I suppose if you shot straight at a cup, it would probably knock it over. But my four boys have been taking some direct hits with these and even the four year old can take it. The little guy does have a little bit of a hard time pulling the hammer back hard enough and straight enough to get very good shots in but it's only the first day. They are loving them. NOTE: Amazon recommends Power Popper balls to go with this sling shot and they DO NOT fit. They are way too small. I didn't even pay attention to the brand or size and ordered them knowing the balls would be getting lost. My fault for not reading more carefully but why would Amazon recommend they go together? Stupid.

Good idea but poorly made
Grip and striker pads fell off after just a few shots. Great idea but poor construction.

Fun!
This slingshot is great! It's simple to use and the foam balls fly quite far. My kids loved it and I would purchase it again. My only advice would be to keep the little balls away from your dog!
