Battlestar GalacticaShips Collection #12: Modern Basestar

We weren't sure what to expect. We had the original show base star, which looked very good. We saw some good reviews on the new basestar, so we took a chance, and we were not disappointed. The model is very cool in person. It takes on a life of it's own, kind of just like it would if it was in real life. That might sound strange, but if you "get" the show, the blend of cylon with human in the new cylons made them almost creepy in a mechanical fleshy kind of way. The new basestar keeps with that in person. It almost looks organic, but yet you can tell it's space station (for lack of better words). The coolest thing is to have it side by side with TOS basestar. Together they really show the different angle the show producers both took in how they presented the cylons. We're glad we got this model. Question is, do we get a second one.

This is an awesome model! It’s way bigger than you’d expect! Maybe something along the lines of a Dark Horse Halo ship model? But probably a bit bigger!! I love it! It feels sturdy and has good detail! And I’m so glad that this company has started to make these, cause I’ve been wanting an authentic and good model of the basestar for a looonnnnggg time!!!!

If your a fan of the series or just a collector this was worth the price.

Just absolutely beautiful.

SOLID construction. I mean this is a solid hunk of metal. Good detail. My only gripe is that the top and bottom halves don't spin into atmospheric mode.

This product was well worth the money! I bought it for a collector's purpose. It came days earlier than expected thanks!
