Belkin USB 3.0 4-Port SuperSpeed Hub for Laptop & PC

Great little USB hub, I was able to plugin all the knick knack interfaces for our new updated Home Automation Mac. Not even a hiccup, great design, just plug and play for 4 extra USB type A ports. I did swap the cable for a .6m shorty cable and it works fine.

Fantastic: It did the job very well for 4 USB 3.0 & 2.0 Disk Drives. I have a couple of hubs, and for some reason they won't run external USB Drives. So, I was looking for something that works. I read the specs for many hubs on Amazon and E-Bay and a LOT of them had something in the 'fine print' about "won't work with WD Passport drives, or abc drives, or xyz drives"... I didn't get it. After lots of Web research the bottom line is: the hub's quality and design, etc. Several folks recommended trying this Belkin 4 Port hub with Power supply. I took it out of the box, plugged in the AC adapter, and 4 WD/Seagate USB Drives and they all worked 100% at USB 3.0. Then, I tested some older WD USB 2.0 drives, and they all play very well together. I'm ordering another one of these so I'll wind up with 6 USB 3.0 and 2.0 drives, both AC powered and USB powered all playing well together on my Alienware 18x Win-8 Pro machine.

This hub has served me very well thus far, I love the easy under desk mount-ability, the led indicator light and the speeds on all ports has been excellent. I have one issue however, the cables are very short. The power cable and USB cable are not nearly long enough just to reach my computer when under my desk. Seriously, these cables are ridiculously short and $40 is a lot to ask considering the cables are tiny and there is 4 ports but I cannot argue with the performance.

As I write this I am scared that this Hub shorted out my MacBook Pro. I had this hub running at my office without issues although I only had two peripherals plugged into it. I brought it home and set it up on my MacBook Pro. I first plugged it into the USB port on the left side of my MBP. It seemed to have problems when I connected a disk drive to it. After about several tries the disk drive died and I decided to move the connecter from the left side USB port to the right side USB port. As soon as I plugged it in my right side USB port on my MBP it went dead. The screen went black and after several tries I could not get it to boot up. When I contacted Belkin they at first seemed like they could help but soon they discounted any kind of surge from their hub could cause the issue. On their website they have customer reviews and there were two others the mentioned possible surge issue that blow out ports. I put a review up on their site too but noticed, that even though they have not addressed this issue, they took my review down as they did with the other surge reviews. This Hub is rated very low on this own site. I am very concerned that this Hub can cause damage to the computers it is plugged into.

I have a MacBook Pro and the only kick is that there are not enough ports. This add-on increases my functionality without requiring me to unplug accessory X to use accessory Y. Simple, easy and dependable. A great product.

I purchased this for an iMac 27" Late 2013 Model. It was recognized by the iMac and all USB items plugged into it are operational. I also like the fact that it is powered - although I do wish the power cord was longer. Other than that, I am very happy with the purchase.

Performed very well with very fast transfer rates to my new iMac 4K. Was plug and play. Unfortunately it failed after about two months. Went through an involved and harrowing call with the 800 number. Folks were friendly enough, but it took a long, long time to get through the multiple layers of phone people. Replacement is on its way, but I had to leave a credit card pending transaction in case I did not return the defective unit. They were not the least bit trusting or remorseful that it had failed so soon. I have had good luck with Belkin products in the past. Didn't see any comparable products fro anybody else.

Works really well with two cameras & controller on my P&Place machine.

J'ai reçu un seul connecteur d'alimentation, qui est de TYPE A (plat, voir photo) et qui ne convient pas à mon pays. Je n'ai pas trouvé cette information dans la description du produit.

Realamente este producto lo compre porque lo compre y estaba a mitad de precio de su histórico así como que lo necesitaba por cuestiones de empleo pero sere honesto, este producto es muy caro mas no ofrece el beneficio que condiciona su precio. lo que aqui vale la pena saber es que este es para las personas que no tienen un puerto USB C por lo tanto requiere que sea con un cable de poder lo cual es un eliminador de 4A para 4 amperes asimismo el chasis es liviano y no se siente muy solido, es muy ligero y considerando que el cable es muy grueso y pesado en realidad lo mueve el cable al hub. Mi consejo es intenta encontrar uno para USB C y si nop cuentas con ese puerto en tu PC mejor ahorra para una Docking station varios teclados incluso monitores cuentan con puertos de USB libres... mejor ahorra tu dinero o compra el siguiente modelo de 7 puertos con fast charging para celular
