Escape the Museum: Solve the Puzzles and Break Out! Hardcover – August 4, 2020

My 6 year old loves this book. He loves solving the puzzles and it keeps him entertained for hours.

Played/read this book with my great niece and nephew (8 & 10) and we enjoyed it! There are a lot of physical components to punch out and manipulate to solve puzzles that move the player through the narrative. There is a large, attached envelope in the back of the book to store the items. We passed this on to another family and they also enjoyed it. Would definitely purchase another book/game from this company.

My niece and I worked on this story together. We thoroughly enjoyed it and happily do more. The pieces are a bit tedious to put together, and I ended up being the one to put it together for the most part, but we enjoyed it. Some puzzles are tricky; some are easy. Spoiler alert:Some of the reviews mention not knowing which pieces to use with each chapter, but we noticed that the first page of each chapter has a picture with the clues visually represented in the picture.

I bought this book for my 12 year old but ended up doing it with my 6 year old instead. The 6 year old is a bit on the young side for it, especially since he can barely read, but he is still enjoying it with my help. My 12 year old should be able to do it independently. My only complaint is that the various puzzle pieces are difficult to pop out and put together. They also don't tell you what pieces you need for each puzzle/room but for the most part we have not had any trouble figuring out what items are needed. If you plan on doing this with your kids, it may be helpful to pop out and assemble everything ahead of time. To reset it for my 12 year old (if he ever decides to give it a try), I sorted all of the pieces into envelops based on the chapter they belong in.
