Seems that many issues have been resolved
I bought this even after reading some reviews complaining about Bluetooth and Wifi functionality being spotty, and it seems that those issues have been resolved because I was able to connect to both immediately, and I haven't once lost my connection unexpectedly. Originally I had decided to buy the GTX100 for the included footswitch, but I'm a beginner so obviously I won't be doing live performances any time soon (meaning: ever), and 100 watts is complete overkill for me. Even with the 50 watts I have to pretty carefully set the volume just barely above zero in order to get a volume that's loud enough to hear clearly but won't bother people in other rooms. If you're only playing at home and not trying to impress people across the street, I'd recommend sticking with the GTX50 and just buying the footswitch separately, even though the price is about the same, there's a such thing as too much amp for a given room. There's a bunch of different options between the different amps available and the collection of pedals (which you can place before or after the amp) which are all fully adjustable. There are more than I would ever need, although it would be cool if you had access to all of the Fender branded pedals like Reflecting Pool. I wish the headphone jack was a 1/4" jack, but converters are everywhere so it's not a huge deal. Really though, there's precious little to complain about. The app seems well made and easy to use, the screen on the amp is easy to read, and making changes there is also surprisingly simple. The amp is really light, and it sounds great.

Great, versatile amp.
Great amp. Easy to dial in great sounds. The Fender Tone app is very convenient and easy to use. The effects sound terrific. The presets are all a bit exaggerated, just turn them down to make the presets more usable. The amp models, especially the Fender ones, are great.

great classic 50's look and sound for my Rockabilly playing
this is a great amp.....i also bought the foot pedal for it........the 100 watt comes with the pedal but i didn't want or need 100 watts........i play classic 50's rockabilly and the amps they used back then went up to around 50 watts tops........this amp and the pedal came out to around what the 100 watt costs........i have the Boss Katana 50 gen 3 also and if i ever needed 100 watts i could hook them together........the only negative which is a minor one is this amp does too much.......i could do without all the British amp models and just have the Fender ones and a couple of the other American ones..........I'm glad i bought this amp and the Boss Katana both.........those two amps will cover and do everything i could ever want..........other huge plus for me is on stage they both look like vintage 50's amps with modern features........they both can and do nail the classic 50's rockabilly sound i was looking for............

Tons of fun for any skill level - Bluetooth is iffy
Edit: Okay, after spending a lot of time with this amp, it's still excellent in all the ways mentioned below, but I've continuously had issues with the Fender Tone app's connectivity. It works maybe 65% of the time. 15% of the time, it gets stuck in "sync" loops which prevents you from using the app, and the rest of time it simply doesn't connect. Also, if you use a wireless Bluetooth lead, the app basically just gives up on connecting, apparently due to device interference. If you plan on using the Fender Tone app, stick to a cable lead. All of this is a shame, because the app is actually quite good and makes the act of selecting and customizing presets MUCH easier. It's also is the only way to utilize downloaded presets. The app is so fantastic that I want to show it to all my buddies, but pretty much every time I try to show it off, the app fails to connect, and I end up looking like a idiot. I had to dock a star for that. This is a problem that they really need to fix. ********************* Original Review: I'm a pretty definitive guitar beginner who started at a relatively late age, but I know my way around a few songs and love experimenting with and creating my own riffs. As I grew more and addicted to the art, I picked up a blue LAVA ME 2 acoustic guitar and a beautiful candy red Fender Player Strat HSS. Naturally, the LAVA was fine on its own, but before getting the Mustang GTX my poor Strat was stuck with a dinky 10-watt Ibanez amp that had a... demoralizing sound. Obviously, my own low skill level factored into how bad it sounded, but after messing around with my buddy's much larger, MUCH pricier tube amp, I knew that even a neophyte like myself could get a better sound with better hardware, and that my Strat deserved much better. However, an interesting experiment with a the owner of a guitar shop made me question whether I was ready for a big-boi tube amp. At the shop, the owner silently gauged my skill level and asked me to try two amps: a '65 Princeton and the Mustang GTX 50. I tried the Princeton and I LOVED it; crystal clear with the right balance of bass and brightness. Then I tried the Mustang with a tone preset mimicking the Princeton... and I could barely tell the difference. I mean, I sort of could, but the owner made it clear that if I was unable to completely distinguish the two amps, should I put down the extra $700+ for the tube? And then I bought a cheap Nux Mighty Lite BT because it was less than $100 and I was a silly, silly man. Another story for another review. Digression aside, I ultimately got the Mustang GTX 50 a few months later, and MAN does this thing inspire. The clean tones already were great to my ears, but what REALLY got me were some of the weirder, dreamier presets, like Ambient Wash and Purple Rain. Those really sparked another level of creativity in me, and I successfully created original riffs to take advantage of their sounds, despite my limited knowledge of scales and chords. It made me want to learn more music, learn more theory, learn more EVERYTHING. It made me commit even more to the art that I was already infatuated with. The GTX has has 200 tone presets built in, and I haven't even gone through them all yet, but I went ahead and experimented with creating my own preset. I made one specifically for Californication, and I used (once again) a '65 Princeton with a little bit of reverb and the bass jacked up... and it was perfect, at least for me. There are just SO many options for creating tones, and the phone app provides a very quick and easy process to pick the parts and fine tune them. A newbie like me was able to create all kinds of unique sounds; I imagine an expert would have a field day on this thing. Also, its loud. Very loud. Wake the neighbors, send the fire department loud. I imagine that'd be perfect for gigs, but I'm years away from even entertaining that notion. Overall, it sounds great, can suit almost any situation, style, and/or skill level, and is just BEGGING to be experimented with. Its also hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars cheaper than a dedicated tube amp despite doing an admirable job emulating their sounds. I think this thing can find a happy home in any guitarist's arsenal.

Spend the extra $100 and get the GTX100 with the pedal.
I bought the GTX50 without the pedal & ended up buying the pedal separate. The app works well but its a little finicky connecting via bluetooth. Simple to download new tones to the amp. It sounds great & most of the amp models are pretty good representations of the originals. Buy this amp now.

Best amp so much better than new Katana I sold Katana.
Best amp ever. So many effects at touch of button or ipad. App is great but amp little persnickety on connection sometimes with bluetooth app.

AMP cuts out randomly. DO NOT BUY! *Update*
I don't usually write reviews, but felt the need to do so for this product. I bought the mustang GTX50 and it would randomly cut out when I was playing the guitar. I thought maybe I just got a faulty one so I actually had it exchanged. The new GTX50 did the exact same thing. I started doing some digging wondering if it was maybe my guitar or my cable, however I don't believe that to be the case. The Guitar I have is a brand new and work fine on other AMPS. I then decided I should test this with an aux cable and just play music out of it to verify that it was in fact the amp. This confirmed my suspicions the amp just cuts out at random times. Sometimes 12 seconds and other times it takes up to 1hr to happen. Extremely annoying. DO NOT BUY. Stay away from this product. Edit: they have fixed this issue. If you still get the issue call customer support and they will tell you how to fix it. If i recall correctly it had something to do with WiFi.

Super versatile
I've been looking at a more than a few amps for learning and decided on this one as it easily covers the various genres I'm trying to learn. I ordered it via Amazon as locally, they are simply not available (Calgary). Still learning about the controls but when connected to my iPad A16, works like a charm. Interface is easy to use and would highly recommend this. There are a ton of YouTube videos on using this so I'm not going to go into the feature set. There is a learning curve but the technology here is pretty mindboggling. Easy to recommend this. I'm learning with a Squier Telecaster. Depending on how you use the presets, you may have to tweak a few of the factory ones but easy to do and you can actually create your own quite easily.
