Great base coat. With this as a base coat, two coats of nail polish topped with seche vite I get a long lasting mani.

I don’t know if it makes your polish stay on longer than any other top coat. I use it as the base coat and I like it.

Love the nail polish but this color is quite light

While other base coats damage my nails especially my toe nails, causing them to become dry, yellowish, brittle, leaving white patches. This is the only base coat that does not cause any damage.

Works wonderfully

I bought this Morgan Taylor stick-with-it base coat based on most of the reviews being positive and accompanied by comments. Like many women, I often use two or even three brands for my manicures rather than a single product line. This time I used the Morgan Taylor base coat; then Essie Ballet Slippers first on my tips and then over the entirety of the nails; and then a single coat of Seche gel top coat to be sure all layers were leveled (IME, the latter negates the need for a ridge filler and is truly fast drying). I was expecting an overall sheer look but was pleasantly surprised that it looks more like a French manicure with white tips. Shipping was fast and well-packaged. As others have noted, the Morgan Taylor brush has a wide splay. Personally, I prefer this because I dislike using multiple strokes to cover the nail which, for me, inevitably leads to more nail mishaps than not. Also, as others have noted, the base coat is definitely a transparent peachy-pink shown in the side-bar picture and not the full-on pink suggested by the primary picture.

Polish arrived with a defective brush. It is all splayed out and unusable. Unable to contact seller and unable to return product.

This base coat makes THE difference in ensuring a long-lasting manicure. I paint my own (natural) nails, and for about a decade I've been using a giant commercial-sized bottle of CND's Stickey base coat. Alas, now that the bottle is at the last dregs, I started looking for a new one and discovered it's no longer being made. The Morgan Taylor base coat is the second I tried. The first (Orly bonder) didn't provide the long wear that I'm used to. For context, in addition to base coat, I use Sally Hansen miracle gel nail polish with their classic miracle gel top coat. I'd never heard of Morgan Taylor cosmetics before, but it seemed worth trying. Well, this Morgan Taylor base coat helped my manicure last OVER a week. It is well worth the investment. As I'm removing my polish, I'm also happy to report that it helps protect the nail from dark colored polish, too. I wore navy nail polish, and it is coming off with polish remover without leaving a stain on my nails. Very happy with this purchase and will look to this base coat in the future.
