Great stands for such a low price
I paid $200 for the pair including shipping. The stands are very heavy and sturdy. The baseplate is large enough even for larger bookshelf speakers (I have KEF Q300). The stands have minimal wobbling even when pushed, due to their weight, and the speakers never fell off (due to a good-sized base plate). I think that these are some of the best stands on the market today: the look good, do not wobble, do not fall, very sturdy. Very happy with them. As a side note, previously I bought LS02 by Pangea Audio as well, and those were very unstable: the speakers were very unstable on the baseplate and the stands were very easy to tip over (and they did tip over with the speakers falling down).

A very good high-end audio bargain
Is this the $500 dollar stand that it so strongly resembles? No. Is it as close as most sane people will need it to be at $300 less? Absolutely.I have the 28" pair. They are beefy, heavy, easy to assemble, and they work exactly as you would expect. I'm going to add some lead shot to mine, not because they need it (they're already quite heavy) but because I've always wanted to do that, and never had hollow stands before. So the main criticisms. Yes, the top plate is thinner than it could be, and mine did distort from flat when I assembled them. It's not perfect, but it's pretty easy to deal with using the adhesive pads that are provided, and a little blue-tack. The spikes provided could be useful for piercing carpet, but are too long to be really useful for leveling the bases on any hard floor surface, as they add about 2inches to the height even when screwed in as far as they will go. And you will need to level the stands, because the bases are not perfectly flat, and the stands will rock slightly on a flat floor. I went to the hardware store and got some short 5mm hex-head machine screws/bolts and they work just fine, adding maybe 1/2 inch to the overall height, bringing it to 28 inches actually). They're rock solid on the floor now.So no, not perfect, but an excellent deal in a very robust, very good looking, very functional stand at a great price. Anything less expensive is cheaply constructed and flimsy in design by comparison.

Speaker stands well worth their $200 asking price.
Shipping:Double boxed, parts are well protected with cardboard inserts and plastic.Assembly:Both stands components are in one box, assembly required. Only tools needed is a Phillips screw driver and a wrench (hex wrench provided for the screws that secure the top to the posts). If using the carpet spikes, place those on first (then get the base level) as this stand is heavy, tall and the therefore awkward. No rubber feet provided if placed on wood floors which is my issue. Off to Lowes!!!Make sure your posts are square with the base and to each other before tightening the bolts.Took me longer to type this than to assemble.Quality:For $200 I would say these are much better quality than other stands i researched and physically looked at. These suckers are heavy, doubt I'll fill with sand etc. The finish looks grey'ish in some pictures but they are actually black. Very nice scratch resistance to the finish too.Overall:Excellent purchase if I say so myself. My KEF Q300 fit nicely and the speaker stands go well with the rest of the furniture. Just wish Pangea made the equivalent center stand!!! (say 20", slight angle in an 18" wide topper for my KEF Q600C hint hint)

The stands arrived very well packaged and in good shape. They look great and are nice and heavy heavy. There were a couple issues though. The top plate is NOT 7.5" x 7.5" as described, but 8.5" X 6" instead. Also, one of the screw holes on the bottom of one of the posts was stripped, so the screw could not be tightened. I used a piece of the plastic used to wrap the parts as a makeshift thread repair until I can find a more satisfactory solution.Overall, for $200.00 I'm pretty disappointed with the product and would not buy again.

Just what I was looking for.
These speaker stands answered my need for sturdy platforms for the pair of Polk Audio RTiA3 bookshelf speakers that I'm using for the right and left back speakers of my surround sound system. My bookshelf speakers measure 14 inches deep by 8 7/16 inches wide and I wanted a set of stands that are both rock solid and have top platforms on which my speakers would sit comfortably. These heavy duty stands, with their 6 x 8.5 inch platforms, amply met my requirements. Moreover, they are attractive and acoustically neutral.
