It actually works and seems sturdy and well built.
Was not to sure about this, especially being made from plastic and not wood. After using on several pairs of shoes, I’m actually pretty impressed with it. (Used it on Sketchers Slip ons. Leather may have a different outcome? I dont know?)I think if you really over tighten it, it might strip out on the “screw” that you turn . But I think it would rip the seems in your shoes before this breaks. Its pretty sturdy.Make it tight, pretty darn tight! But dont go overboard and you will be fine.I left the shoe extender in each pair of shoes for about 24 hours (some say to leave it for 48 hours) after about 12 hours, I tightened it a little bit more. (Seemed to loosen a tiny bit)The overall results, are about a half of a size larger.(Maybe 48 hours would be 1 full size?) but on mine there was a noticeable difference. There is a spray (I did not buy or use it) but I hear it can make a huge difference. Apparently it loosens the fibers of the material of the shoe and allows it to stretch better.Would I recommend? Absolutely. For $20.00 you cant go wrong. (If it did break within 30 days return it. But i seriously doubt it would break. Unless you really push it to extremes). There are parts you can add to the plastic spreader part that is supposed to allow for bunions. But I did not use it. I used it straight out of the box. Also , when you purchase a shoe extender, There are a couple sizes of extenders, so make sure you get the right size. One size fits several sizes, but it does not fit all sizes!Yes it works, yes it is sturdy, yes I recommend it.

Works great!
Works great! My son had trouble with basically every off-the-shelf cleat not fitting due to being too narrow. They don’t seem to make wide cleats or wide toe box cleats except for custom order. Thanks to these, we were able to make any cleat fit him perfectly.I have a pair of hiking boots that were nice but just didn’t fit right, too narrow at the toe, and these made them fit perfectly. After using these, I don’t know how I lived without them. Thinking back to all of the shoes we’ve ordered or didn’t try on long enough that almost fit but not quite right and we’d return them or toss them in a closet - this fixes that problem for good.

The length
I searched A shoe stretcher. for Sixteen shoe it is way too short I am trying to make it work by stuffing something else in the Back end , It's 2 Plus inches too short.I might return them. if If anyone Is thinking of buying these and have larger than size thirteen or fourteen they will not work.... I am only giving it 4 stars because it is 30.And it's stretches very well as far as the length goes read the above

Good product and works as advertised
Got these shoe stretchers for a pair of walking shoes that were a little too tight. When I bought the shoes I thought that I only needed to ware them for a while to "break them in". They are a nice pair of Skechers so they weren't cheap, but they were snug enough that they started to make my feet sore at the tight spots after a short time of walking in them.So I purchased this set of shoe stretchers to see if I can make this pair more comfortable.I'm very happy I did! They work great! After installing the nubs in the stretchers corresponding to the areas that were tight on my feet and using them in the shoes, they fit perfectly now. All day comfort! Well worth the purchase price of the stretchers.I've since used them on other pairs of shoes with the same great results. And as a bonus, the seller contacted me just to see if I was satisfied with my purchase and if they could be of any assistance. Nice to know that if I had any problems with the stretchers they would have been there to assist me. They are made of plastic, not wood like some other brands but they are very sturdy and work very well. I really put them to the test when I used them on a pair of leather work boots and torqued them down to get that perfect fit for my feet. They took the strain and had no problems with the tuff leather on the work boots.I do recommend this product! Hope this helps anyone looking to make their shoes more comfortable.

Good but doesn’t feel sturdy
Overall, I am happy with the purchase but my opinion is that these are good, but could be better. They are made with plastic around a metal-like rod. All the plastic is quite loose around the rod, which I find odd. These are quite easy to use, but every is shaky. After you put the front part into the shoe you get the back part in and then twist to create the tension. Once the tension is there you twist the metal part so that the width can be tensioned as well. The pack includes little pieces to add (kinda look like bunions) to add more width and something for the back/heel area. I did use these and they worked well. When I removed them, the stuff fell apart because I unscrewed too far! I then had to put everything back together and noticed that the front parts felt too loose, so I tightened. After tightened I realized that one of the screws sticks out too far which will Ramsay’s the shoe, so I unscrewed it and things felt loose again. I took 2 stars off just because I don’t think they are made well. I bought 3 at the same time and all have similar experiences. If you’re looking for shoe stretchers, I think these are good and do the job. Do I think there are better ones out there - yes, but for under $20 these get the job done but even if a bit annoying to use.
