Anchor Hocking 16-oz Café Glass Coffee Mugs, Clear, Set of 6. Anchor Hocking glass is a quality brand. I was looking for glass mugs larger than 11 oz. and I saw these on the last prime sale. The mug can hold a generous amount and leave space at the top to avoid spilling. I love the pedestal foot on the mug. We have been trying different teas & coffees and we enjoy seeing the color of the brew. I do not like thin borosilicate glass because it breaks easily. I prefer thick and sturdy Anchor Hocking glass. These mugs have a cozy look and my family loves them. 11-1-23

I’m having a really difficult time assessing these bad reviews. I have to assume that these people who wrote them don’t write both good and bad and only review things when they don’t work out, in this case. I mean, these ARE glass mugs. They aren’t unbreakable and I’m sure considering any mailing service they COULD break within the mailing system. At any rate, I felt compelled to write this review because I’ve used this one mug everyday for three days and washed in every single day in the dishwasher ON PURPOSE because unless, I’m purposely throwing it around or Ive dropped it. So I’ve sent it through the ringer. Iv even placed boiling water in this and also microwaved it for 3 minutes... THIS EXACT MUG I HAVE PICTURED. I wanted to see if I could make it crack. It’s only been a week but just like any other dish unless I drop it I don’t think it’s going to break. So, consider that it is glass and consider my review when reading the others. I have quite a few Anchor and Hocking pieces and they’ve never done me wrong. It’s double insulated as stayed and seems of good quality. I’m not huge in he actual style of the “foot” I’d rather it just be flat but 6 mugs for that price was worth it. Remember: many people only review when things are bad and finding bad reviews is GENERALLY much easier than finding a good one. Hey, wanted to give an update! It’s 2022! And they are still being used regularly and going strong! :)

I started with just one of these 5 years ago as a cup for the microwave for oatmeal, soup or ramen, since my nicer ceramic cups tend to break in the micro. It held up so beautifully and having one was not enough. I could not longer find locally so turned to Amazon. A six pack, YES! Now we use these as our daily coffee mugs as well as our microwave cooking. The size is perfect. It does have an unsightly seam that runs down the side, but I don't care. The base collects water in the dishwasher and I forget and sometimes fling water all over the kitchen when unloading. Other than that, love these, they are sturdy and fit our needs, plus in a sixer, we have spares!

I'm very disappointed in the quality of the products Anchor Hocking is currently offering. This is the second time I've ordered these mugs in the last year or two. The first order arrived with two broken mugs. Okay, poor packing. But this recent order contained three mugs with very obvious flaws. See photos - one had a "bump" in the lip of the glass; one had what looked like a crack but was actually a flaw in the glass itself and the third one had a very rough seam down the side of the mug which could probably cut you if you slid your hand over it. Anchor Hocking has always been a very good company with high quality products, but their quality control is now terrible. Really sorry to see this happen. I can't trust ordering from them anymore.

NONE arrived broke even though they came in a box in a bigger box. No paper or styrofoam peanuts for protection. One has a noticeable blemish but doesn't subtract from the the beauty of the mug. As noted in other reviews, there's a noticeable line of the mold to create the mug. One (1) mug have a chipped edge on the bottom where the molds meet that could use smoothing before given/sold to someone. But the mugs are pretty overall. Gave the chipped one a 2 minute microwave test and it didn't blow up. So I made myself a cup of cappuccino. They are thick, appealing and hold a decent volume of beverage. What more can you ask for???

These are really pretty and elevate morning coffee routine! I had tried the insulated ones from a different company before this thinking that would be better but the lip of the coffee cup was too thick much prefer the glass really good deal too. I like the 16 ounce size. It allows me to froth my cream without a big mess.

One of the 6 came damaged. Can you please send me one 16 oz mug to replace it?

I don’t really leave reviews on products. Something has to be outstanding or have something majorly flawed for me to take the time to leave one. Recently, we replaced all our older ceramic made in China mugs for a large set of these Anchor Hocking glass mugs. Our older mugs had been in and out of the dishwasher over the years and I wasn’t sure if the glaze was thinning or cracked inside and who knows what the Chinese manufacturers have in their ceramics underneath leeching into our hot drinks. As someone who hates purchasing new things, I decided to look for glass mugs, made in the USA or Europe, so hopefully we wouldn’t have to repurchase new mugs for another decade or more. We also like to support American made products and industry whenever we can. We already had a couple of these glass pedestal style mugs that had been given to us, so we knew we liked them just fine and they perform and wash up well over many years. So I ordered a set of the ones listed here and we tossed the ceramic mugs. Every one of them arrived intact and not irregularly shaped. My ONLY problem with these, and it is significant, is that there is a pretty sharp ridge that runs the inside and outside of every handle of every mug. None of them have cut us yet, but it is far from comfortable. Functionally they work very well and check every other box. We are not returning them because I don’t think it was a defect, I think Anchor Hocking is just making these SUPER cheaply and with as little care as they can get away with. Super bummed. I’m hoping that over the years these ridges may soften with washing and use. I may at some point donate them and spend more on a set that is made with more care.
