Vision Defender MZ Meso-Zeaxanthin 10mg Vegan Eye Supplement, 90 Capsules

I can really tell a difference. Starting my 4th month!!

This product contains 10 mg of Mesozeaxanthin which, according to my reading of medical literature, is the most helpful dose for intermediate macular degeneration.

My wife is taking this as part of a program of supplements to deal with macular degeneration. Too early to tell the effect, but the capsules are easy to take and the research appears strong.

my eyesight is deteriorating in old age, due to the beginnings of macular degeneration (despite my having taken maximum dose lutein/zeaxanthin for decades). so i got this extra 'meso-zeaxanthin.' i take one every few days or so, just as an added boost to my regimen of eye/vision health regimen (lutein, zeaxanthin, bilberry, copper, magnesium, vitamin c, vitamin d, vitamin a). it's my own line-up based on my own extensive research. interesting though, isn't it? --that despite taking these religiously for decades, i'm still starting to lose my eyesight. well, it's not likely i'll lose my sight completely; i'm already pretty ancient, and in relatively good shape!

It's hard to find meso-zeaxanthin even IN eye health supplements with other ingredients. It's great to be able to find the pure product. I can round it out with lutein & other supplements as needed. But according to my eye doctor, mso-zeaxanthin is the best.

I'm giving these 3 stars simply because I have no idea if it will help. I've been recently diagnosed with AMD - or Dry Macular Degeneration. Dr. advised me to take Areds2 and eat salmon, tuna and lots of leafy green vegetables. I've done a ton of reading and, as expected, there are a bazillion opinions on what can or should be done. One of the missing supplements in Areds2 is Meso Zeaxanthin. Supposedly this is made somewhere in the eye itself from 2 ingredients in Areds 2 and available in many recommended foods but wanted to add this hoping it helps.

I'm a diabetic and have been diagnosed 16 years ago, by my local hospital, my previous doctors surgery mixed up my records with my husbands, it took 15 years for my old and new GP to realize the mistake that was made by my first GP, hence my eyes are worse, I've been looking around to try to find something that could at least help a bit, since taking these tables, my eyes do seem to have improved a bit, I take these every day, most days my eyes seem better then before, but other times, they seem worse, but that only happens once every 2 to 3 months.. This is my honest opinion, I'm not sure if it would work for everyone, but I did take the gamble.

Everyone should be taking this supplement if caring about their eyesight.
