I wanted to replace my old, crappy twist shutoff valves under my kitchen sink as well as add shut off valves to my shower lines (hot water kept eating the rubber seals.) Ball valves are so much more reliable and easy to use. Sadly, this one is a piece of junk. While it did cut off the water supply, the cheap feel of it left me uneasy and I decided to go to the local hardware store and buy a better one. I just didn't trust it. The handle felt loose and the lack of stop positions (you could simply spin the handle around for infinity without ever being sure it was in the full shutoff position) was a bad design choice and not what I wanted. I may eventually stick this on my cold shower line where it isn't quite so important.

All metal construction is sturdy and should last a very long time
Be sure to use white thread tape to seal the threads. Use enough to make it a little tight to connect by hand. Otherwise, it will drip every 5 seconds.

Will work well outside where it will be exposed to corrosion. Brass types did not hold up.

Handle broke. :(
The body and internals are high quality, but the cheap cast handle just broke right in half. Very disappointing.
