Works like a charm!
I ordered this because I wanted a weed killer that was safe to use in my backyard with my dogs. My brother-in-law and sister own a large property and were spraying on the abundant weeds in the gravel around their house and barn. They used it because not only do they have dogs, but they have a well and didn't want to contaminate their water table with chemicals from other weed killers.I usually use Ground Clear, which is the best product I've very seen and works for a very long time, but it is very potent. I have a backyard that has pavers and mulch and I needed to kill all the little weeds between the cracks as well as the larger weeds in the mulch. Nothing was above 6 inches - if it was, I pulled what I could or chopped down to size and used Avenger on it. I eyeballed mixing the concentrate to make a 4:1 or 5:1 concentration spray to use on the weeds and it worked like a charm!I was worried it wouldn't work because it's not as potent as Ground Clear, I assumed, since it was supposed to be organic. Also because it had been raining torrentially for over a week straight - I was afraid the weeds wouldn't absorb it since we had so much rain. I'm not kidding when I say within minutes of spraying, the weeds wilted and started to turn brown almost before my eyes! I think it works better when you spray broad leaves to cover them and make sure to spray directly into the ground to the roots for the tougher or larger weeds. Every weed died. And not only that, but it smells like oranges instead if that awful chemical smell you get from the normal chemical weed killers. I don't know if it will last as long as the traditional weed killers since it's only been a week since I used it, but I don't see any new weeds growing or the ones I sprayed growing back yet. I guess we will see! I'll update my review if there are any issues.Note: Safe for pets AFTER it dries. I don't think it's toxic when wet, but it may irritate them since it probably is somewhat acidic (citric acid - hence the orange smell) to work. Of course, always wash your hands after use, but I didn't even have to wear gloves to use this and I didn't have any issues (and I have sensitive skin).I would definitely recommend using this!

Used to be great. Now, a big fat nope.
This product was my go-to for years for killing weeds without all the toxic stuff. The last three bottles did absolutely nothing. Used three times this year, purchased from two different locations and Amazon, used on the same bank where the weeds grow, from normal strength up to highest concentration and the weeds are still there. Even after hitting them down completely with a trimmer then spraying, it did nothing. Customer service did nothing after making spend an insane amount of time providing UPCs, dates of purchase, etc. Must have changed their formula and it no longer works. :-( Really disappointed.

Peace and Dead Weeds
This stuff makes Hubby happy, and me as well. He wants our yard to look like a golf course.....city boy. I grew up in the country where yards have some weeds, and I hate for me and my Shih Tzu (built low to the ground) to walk through a sea of toxic chemicals. So he and I came to an uneasy truce. He still has the front and side yards professionally sprayed, but the big fenced-in backyard is not.....which drove him nuts. At first he tried the Pinterest sure-fire natural weed killers like vinegar, salt & Dawn. They did nothing but waste time and kitchen products. So, I began shopping for something "less toxic" than the professional sprays, and when he tried this one, he was elated. It kills weeds. I've just ordered the third jug of it for this spring, somewhat pricey if he's going to pour it out like water, but hey, as long as peace reigns in the compound it's all good. I haven't done any deep research (yet) to find out just how much healthier Avenger Organic Weed Killer is, but for the moment I feel better about playing with my dog in the backyard. I've read that it takes 7 years for all the toxic chemicals to leach from the soil and grass, and we're only on our third year......

Results depend on the weeds.
I bought a ton of this stuff for my lawn because my garden was overtaken by dandelions and some other weeds I don't know the names of. I try to live the most nontoxic lifestyle possible, so I bought this because it's organic approved and I don't want to poison my garden (or myself, or the environment). Well, this gave me mixed results. Some of the dandelions came back even though I used the 1:3 concentration, and it does say that it might need a few sprays for tough perrenials. Some of the other weeds are really, really dead though. And so is the areas of grass I accidently hit with overspray, but I was OK with that because no grass is more important than my precious garden! But because it killed the grass really easily, I can't use it on the border of my neighbor's lawn. This stuff isn't cheap and it's semi-effective depending on what you use it ok, so I think 3 stars is right on the money.BTW, it totally jams up your sprayer at that 1:3 concentration. I had a 20 dollar one that worked great with water, but this thing all but killed it. Then I bought a sprayer that was twice as expensive and it still jammed, and simply washing out the nozzle was not effective, so it's tough to use. So, maybe for that reason it's more deserving of 2.5 stars...
