I used these corks to float in dishes of water so children could make their own compass. Their experiments worked very well because of the quality and consistency of the cork.

I bought these to use as a lid for a glass water carafe. They fit and looked good and seemed good quality. However, I noticed a strong chemical smell in the carafe every time I took the cork off. Checked the cork packaging and there is a big warning “contains formaldehyde”. Hopefully I can find some other use for these corks. I don’t trust these around food or water.

Used for plugging drain hole in glass vessel sink bowls to hold water outdoors (solar pump) for birds. Had to slightly trim to fit, but appears to work well. Population drains constantly failed. Good, cheap solution!

Got our wine barrels without the plugs and realized quickly that flying critters were going to an issue. Found these lovely corks and they fit perfectly. No more partying flies looking to feast on leftover wine residual.

The corks for a wine barrell bunghole were just fine but they could be a little thicker. It doesn't fit snugly in a used wine barrell. But, the price and ordering options of how many per package were great.
