Does this flash support high speed sync (HSS)?

No. Tested using D750 and two off camera flashes (Nikon 700 and this Altura), using High Speed Sync (FP on Nikon setting), the flash did not sync above 1/250 while the 700 did.

Is it possible to turn off the front red sensors?

Not that I am aware of. I would talk with the company.

Can you use LITHIUM AA batteries in this flash?
