Bought this with the music nib. Just got it in the mail. This thing writes like a dream. Smooth as butter. If you like thick nibs, just get this . You will not regret. I have four Meisterstuck pens all in broad nibs. This one is better hands down.

In the sales release it is said that nib is medium, but when it arrives it realizes that it carries musical nib. The publication it includes the reference of the pen, but for novices in fountain pens, we did not review that number, we stayed with the published information and photo of the product , it does not correspond the nib expected with the received, I’m not going to ask for a refund anyway because I thought it was an interesting nib, but with very thick lines to sign documents. attached evidence of the nib and how the writing looks.version español:informacion de venta no es clara acerca del nib que lleva la estilograficaEn la publicación de venta se habla que el nib es medium, pero cuando llega se da cuenta que lleva nib musical. This is my first "fancy grind" nib. It takes a bit to get used to it. It is very much like a fine calligraphy pen. The nib is fantastic, but the barrel is short for my hand unless I have it posted. The ink flow is excellent, it's smooth and saturated without being "wet" and unruly. It writes crisp and smooth (as long as you don't let the pen rotate off its natural flat. This is one of two 14k nibs that I have, and it seems to be holding up great. Just be wary of cheap paper. This pen will bleed through cheap ruled notebooks, like those that Colleges often put their logos on. It works fine with Mead or Leeds notepads, so it is just cheap paper... I use this pen in my Physics class to try and keep my symbols halfway legible. There's nothing like getting home and not being able to tell the difference between characters. It's also a pleasurable writing experience while journaling for Englis lit. The nib makes this pen more of an occasion piece when you want to get fancy and pen a letter. I do use a Waterman Hemisphere extra fine or Sailor profit fine nib fountain pen for most of my daily note-taking.

This is perfection. The 21k nib is absolutely wonderful and I don’t understand why I spent money on those cheaper sailors? I have smooth montblancs and a Homo sapiens, but 21k smoothness with a hint of sailor feedback is love. Those old cheaper sailors are laying in boxes now. This is all I needed. I included a photo with a writing sample in this medium nib for reference. Perfect packaging and everything went as expected. Cheers.

It is a good pen with an interesting nib that provides different line variations depending on how properly you hold it. It is not a flexible nib so you might want to set your expectations right. The nib is smooth but if you use a drier ink, you might have some feedback when writing with it. The pen is well designed though a bit small for my hand, but you can post it comfortably without any unbalanced feel. I also wished that the ink converter were much larger because the ink finishes fast! It seems that the Sailor brand only provides a limited ink converter capacity, what a pity... In general I am happy with the purchase. The product took a while to arrive from Japan but the seller was prompt to reply to my queries regarding the delivery status which was satisfactory.

The pen is good for writing musical notes.
