Announcing a new use for SLINKY THE ORIGINAL BRAND METAL 3 PACK.....SQUIRREL DETERRENTS!!!!!!!! No kidding! In the south (and elsewhere in America, we like to feed the birds! We put up our shepherd's hooks, fill our feeders and wait for our feathered friends to entertain us as they obtain nourishment for themselves, their babies and occasionally their mates (see "Cardinal Kiss"). However, we are also blessed to have other creatures, furry little rat-like creatures, who mistakenly believe that our efforts are for them instead. I am talking about squirrels, once thought to be cute little fluffy critters until I learned that they are actually rodents. Quite entertaining, I admit, but destructive and greedy. Squirrel baffles, those half domed metal contraptions, don't work. "Greasing the pole", a typical southern remedy that can produce much hilarity, is only temporary and requires repeated, daily applications. Then, someone suggested trying a metal Slinky! Works like a charm! This is definitely an idea for Research and Design for new product development in Lawn and Garden. You can send the Royalties to me!

It’s a slinky! C’mon, what more do you really need to know. Yep, it’s even metal. It doesn’t work on stairs because it’s too short and I’m pretty sure I remember the original slinky being bigger. My kids love ripping them apart and straighten them out so one of them is still in the box. It will be opened when they leave for college.

I bought six of these. Three I zip tied to the legs of my deer feeder to keep the squirrels & raccoons from climbing up the legs and getting to the spinner. Three I gave to my grandkids. The three that are on my feeder are working and lasting great. The three I gave to my grandkids were trashed in a couple of days. 🤣 Slinky’s have been around a long time and are fun, but they’ve never been durable in the hands of 1-8 year olds; but that’s OK, we all know that. The price was fine and because the kids like them, I’d buy them again for them. I’d also buy Slinky’s again to place on more deer feeder legs, they work fantastic for keeping squirrels & raccoons from climbing the legs.

I love this classic toy and believe it or not, so do bunnies! I bought this three pack so that I could have one for my rabbit, Finnegan, and two to give to a local rabbit rescue. Rabbits love the clinking noise and rolling action that they can elicit from the Slinky. Added bonus, they are easy to clean. I have been buying these for my rabbits for years and will continue to do so for years to come!

We purchased these Slinkys to keep squirrels away from our bird feeders. Time will tell if it works. We have ALWAYS loved the Slinky since we were children a 1000 years ago! Before we EVER installed them outside to deter our bushy-tailed friends, my husband and I giggled and laughed as we played with them again. What a simple toy and a great gift for kids and adults alike...BTW...The price was good too!

Fun for a few minutes. As slinkys go, the metal bends easily and then is not usable.It is not large enough to go down stairs.

My 6 yo daughter loves it. We have had several plastic slinkys in the past that would barely last a day. This metal one lasted a week! Now that's not to say it isn't durable. It is, but when a 6 yo attempts to use it as a jump rope, then it's not going to last but so long. The metal version also just work better than the plastic versions. It brought back fond memories of my childhood. The 3-pack works great. By a couple as gifts and keep one for yourself!
