What exactly does the glass breaker do?

the glass breaker is a pointed piece of metal that if tapped on glass will break the glass

My knife just arrived and had 2 extra screws in the box and no instructions. What is the purpose of the 2 screws?

Possibly as replacements if some get loose a,d fall out? If you look around the knife and see no weird holes then it's just extra to make sure you can keep going on with your day if you lose one of those tiny screws
