Better than carpet
Makes it easier to launch my aluminum boat.

Not perfect but it worked
The supplied screws where for wood. It would be nice if they came with some self drilling metal screws for my metal rails

Slides easily
I bought them, after reading reviews of boats sliding easily off boat trailers. I used them to transfer a Sea Doo jet ski from one trailer to another out of the water. I soaked them with soapy water and backed one trailer up to another. Hooked on the crank strap and they easily moved from one trailer to the next. I probably could have slid them without the crank at least with another person. I'm guessing they will work well at the lake too. However, read a post where they scraped off the paint on a painted aluminum boat.
