I feel the additional support these braces give me is wonderful. I feel much more confident walking and moving ...
I rolled both ankles in different years of high school playing basketball. I have always had problems with my ankles since then and now am 60 years old. Recently rolled both ankles again within a month of each other. I have done physical therapies throughout my life for my ankles, but due to the severity of the damage done to my ligaments I have periodically rolled my ankles. I work outdoors, so uneven ground is quite common along with ankle sprains. My frustration led to this purchase. I feel the additional support these braces give me is wonderful. I feel much more confident walking and moving around out of doors. These stabilizers feel more secure than wrapping and comparable to taping my ankles. I don't know if these braces will prevent future injuries, but they feel like they will help lessen the damage and recovery time with the support they give.

Difficult to put on
Works well and gives good support. Able to wear it with boots. My issue with it is that it has multiple parts that need to be secured and everything is black making seeing what goes where difficult, even lacing it up

These provide stability and confidence and give you Mobility after fractures!
These have been life savers through two ankle fractures. A bit challenging with all the velcro, but work very well to stabilize and protect.I was told to get these by my Podiatrist as I came out of a cast and a boot. Initially the stays are bothersome and a bit painful. But as time went on I suppose I got used to them and didn't notice so much. This was identical to the one that cost significantly more at a retail medical store I had to purchase on short notice, but do not hesitate to buy thinking these are inferior. I have been wearing these for months and they gave me MOBILITY!

Better than the original
Better than the original. I have used ASO ankle supports on and off over the years -- mostly on the tennis court. I recently had a Grade 3 sprain and avulsion fracture (done at home of all places) so I opted for the ASO with the stays (plastic side support inserts). Increased support over the original is substantial. Quality of construction is just as good, if not better, than those I have purchased in the past. An added plus is the lace being sewn down in a centered position. No more fiddling to get the laces on each side equal length. The stays are removable, but I am keeping them in as they do not impede movement on the court.

Poor Fit
Yeah, this product is nothing like the description or reviews! Can't get to fit properly, it's either too tight and it hinders walking or too loose! I've tried multiple times and followed directions on how to tie and it gaps around the heel. Very disappointed! Additionally, when I submitted for a refund, find out they DO NOT refund! Probably my bad, should have checked return policy in the "fine" print...regardless, my ankle still needs stability and this ain't it!!

Works great.
To my surprise, I was able to use my regular shoes while wearing these. I thought I would have a problem because it has so many different layers of straps. It fits snuggly in the shoe but doesn't require an upgrade of the size. Since it doesn't cover the toes, it doesn't add to the length of your foot. When inserting your foot into the shoe, there are a couple extra thick areas that like to snag on the shoe so using a shoe horn is essential.I wear these because I have nerve damage and cannot feel my feet and I've previously twisted my ankles several times. Saved my ankles already by having a couple close calls. If I didn't have these on, I might have broken the ankle.I need to put them on very tightly to prevent my ankle from moving. Because it's so tight, it seems to inhibit proper blood flow to my feet. I can feel my heart beating in my toes at times. When I finally take them off, I have impressions on my legs where it's clear that I was wearing something tight on them and my feet are cold. These also seem to prevent my ankle from moving up and down as well as sideways. It's not 100% immobile so it's still possible to drive my car while wearing these but it takes a little practice pressing the gas and brake pedals and then you eventually get used to them.

Very Good
Affordable and very sturdy. It wasn't very comfortable with the plastic inserts, so I didn't use them much, particularly with work boots. With sneakers it was better. Overall it was very supportive and comfortable. I sprained my ankle badly and wore this daily for about 2 months. It is well designed, easy to put on and very supportive.

Check size
Didn't work for me, had to return it. I ordered a medium, so maybe it was too small, but it was just very uncomfortable.
