Laguna Silicone O-Rings Lubricant

If you ever bought a new filter for an aquarium, you know it takes a while for the noise to go away, maybe even weeks as the impeller smooths out. I tried this out on my brand new Fluval C3 power filter and the noise went away immediately and hasn't come back (it's been 1/2 a year). Great stuff, unfortunately very very small quantity (although you won't need that much).

4 stars because it works great, but way too expensive, for the teaspoon's worth that you get.Just search for "silicone lubricant for O-ring", and you'll find 2oz to 4oz tubes for less than ten bucks.

Gotta keep the rings lubed! Caution this is a very very small bottle!

It's good grease, but there's only enough in the tube for a single use, maybe. If you had to grease a large o-ring, you might not have enough. Waaaaay overpriced. Look elsewhere.

Easy to use and it doesn't take much to do the job. I use it on the O-Ring for my Fluval 306 filter.

I bought this lubricant for the O-rings on my kitchen faucet hand sprayer, where it mounts into the faucet assembly after the one in the hand sprayer broke, due to sticking when inserter in and out with use. There is very little of the lubricant in the small tube, so I have given it only 3 stars. It is OK lubricant and I used it abundantly on the o-rings after installing them, but it is very little lube for the money. A large tube of Dow O-Ring Lubricant would have been a better bargain, but that will be next time. Hope this helps.

Saves a lot of buying vs the small sqeeze tubes.

So I had alot of trouble with my fluval filter getting the shut off valve to come out during water changes. I would pull on the hoses to the point i thought i was going to break them. I ended up doing a little research and came across this stuff. I ordered it and put it on the rubber seals and problem was solved. My only complain is that this bottle is tiny. Honestly the person at amazon packing this had to of laughed when they put it in such a big box. I mean it lists the size on in the description so my fault but worth taking a star off.
