CRC 05074 Heavy Duty Silicone Lubricant - 7.5 Wt Oz.

This was exactly what I expected from CRC, which is why I keep buying their products. Can arrived properly packed, included the straw (which somehow is becoming a rare luxury these days), and sprayed correctly right out of the box. Spray pattern was consistent, application was clean, and the lubricant performed exactly as intended. No gimmicks, no surprises, just dependable silicone lubricant from a brand that has always treated me well.

Great. Works like it’s described

No color, runs from where sprayed, but does NOT leave a visible residue. No oily surface like WD40 or light machine oil. Perfect for locks, door hinges, food preparation equipment, and window tracks on old car doors (the reason I originally purchased it). I then found out I could use it on silicone or rubber "O" rings in flashlights, cameras, tools, outdoor battery timers, or anywhere there is rubber that I don't want to "tear up" when reassembling (like the battery compartment on my hose timer that is sealed with an "O" ring. It keeps the rubber ring from tearing when re-assembling. Keep it right under the kitchen sink. Tools, zippers on my fishing bags, my sausage stuffer, my cast iron meat grinder, auto window tracks, padlocks on storage shed, etc. Most importantly, it does NOT attract dirt or dust to an oily residue surface. Great Stuff!! Will always have a can at quick reach.

I have been using this silicone spray for various maintenance tasks around my property, and its effectiveness on high-friction points is immediately noticeable. It creates a clean, non-stick barrier that has significantly reduced the wear and tear I was seeing on several moving components in my garage. This is great stuff, even though it seems hard to find these days. It works well for lots of lubrication jobs and I really like to use it as a protective finish for all the rubber and plastic parts under the hood of my car. I think it's actually better than many of the other products on the market made specifically as a protector / shine for exterior and interior parts.

Be careful when using this stuff. May not be safe on plastics. Contains petroleum distillates, which can degrade some plastics. Doing as much harm as good.

This is my second can of this stuff, and I think it works well. I use it mostly to lubricate my slider doors; it doesn't leave an oily residue, so dirt and junk don't stick to it. It lubricates the tracks, and it makes the slider door more quietly. I also use it on my microwave door hinges and push button area; again it works pretty well. I believe it comes with a red straw that can help you direct the spray into a small area (like the microwave door handle area). Anyway, it lasts a long time, and it also can be used to recoat rubber gaskets like for water filter units. It drys quickly, and it has a really cold feel to it if you get it on your hands (no, your hands won't fall off or decay it you accidentally spray them with it).

I'm using this to lubricate and waterproof some of the cables and fittings on my little bay boat. I like having something on board that will work fast, and be handy and easy to use. This fits the bill perfectly. I also used it around the house; squeaky door knobs, hinges, bicycle gears, tuning knobs on my old banjo...this works on everything! Will almost make you feel like you're holding a hammer, and everything starts looking like a nail...you'll be looking for stuff to lubricate everywhere! Great price point for a very handy and great product! Recommended!
