the title of this book about google searches is misleading. In the book it said something along the lines that google searches Aren't that deep. The contents of the book seem to point to pay sites and basically most things advertisers pop up somewhere else while searching the web. At least that's what I got out of it.

Definitely a book for folks who have zero internet or research capabilities. If you're looking for something that offers medium or even advanced research/search techniques, methodologies or technical queries, avoid this book.If you are brand new to any kind of research whatsoever, definitely grab this so you can better understand where to start.

This book is a great starter for new people or people who haven't been in the field for a decade or more. It gets you off to a really good start with a lot of go to info and sources. Now, to put in the "elbow grease."

this book arrived on time and was a easy an enjoyable read. The only reason for 4 stars was some information was a bit old and reference did not exist anymore. Overall a very good resource of how to find out things, and it was a surpringly easy book to read. There was alot of links to various on line information and other ideas and resources

It's just as the titled suggestes. the author is funny with a little tongue and cheek. very good book.

Very good and interesting material to use for locating people, places and things that you may not have information on or about. I will use it for my business as a reference. I recommend this if you are in the business of locating people.

An interesting and informative read; How to Find Out Anything is well-researched (duh!) and the information is presented in a commonsense and straight-forward manner. Macleod's prose is effective and clear. Though he does get a little repetitive in some parts. The level of information in this book falls between beginner - intermediate researcher skill. It goes well beyond the ubiquitous Googling of the internet age (though he does cover the less-well-known tips and tricks of effective online search engine use), and begins to delve into the timeless art of library and archive based research.

Estilo llano, con muchos ejemplos. Mejor que la mayoría de su género. Adecuado en extensión, formato y contenido. Muy recomendable.
