I just keep ordering these
Back again, 5th time in 2 years, these batteries are very good, maybe even great. My battery usage keeps going up as our kids get older. We have four Xbox 360 controllers that are used nearly daily. Save your breath, I've tried rechargeable batteries, but there's two kids in the equation. I get up to find all the charged batteries used, but none put back into the recharger. We also tried the Plug and Play kits, but wouldn't you know it, those packs get lost during sleepovers and whatever in the heck else kids do with those packs. I probably could save money with rechargeable batteries, but these Maxell are the next best thing. They have very good life spans and are cheap. I do admit, I kept my Duracell cardboard trays and just ration these batteries out between our family members with those trays. We don't just use them in video game controllers. Remotes, those little helicopters the kids fly around and scare the puppies with. My wife and I also both work from home (most of the time) and have wireless keyboards and mice. Kids have wireless keyboards and mice too. My only change would be to pack them in trays like Duracell does. This brick or stack container can cause an avalanche of batteries if not opened carefully. Hey, when the biggest complaint is about the cardboard you use, you know you're doing something right. Time to hit "add to cart".

Excellent battery value!! Great for Wii remotes!
Excellent batteries for the price, they came fast and fresh. These have been performing excellently in Wii remotes and remote controls, with no discernable difference between other brand batteries!Something to remember is that not all devices pull the current from the batteries in the same manner, and everyone's experience will be a little different.PROS:* Inexpensive, and a multitude of replacements* Fresh/new* Fast shipping to my doorstepCONS:* The box slowly falls apart after awhile, no big dealOTHER THOUGHTS:For anyone considering the difference between name-brand for less, think about this hypothetical situation where a name-brand lasts longer:Name-brand for $4 which lasts 3 monthsOff-brand for $2 which lasts 2 monthsIf you spend $8 total, here's what you'll have:Name-brand: 6 months of battery lifeOff-brand: 8 months of battery lifeIt doesn't take into account for every variable, and everyone's usage will be different, but gives you something to think about. For high-drain devices, name-brand usually offers the best bet for the money, but when talking about button-battery-devices, these are perfect!

Good, Fresh Batteries
The batteries came in late yesterday and arrived in perfect condition. One of the first things I checked was the expiration date and was delighted to discover a date five years from now so it appears fresh batteries were sent by Amazon. The next thing I did was to check the charge level on a couple of the batteries and found they were well charged and had good strength; another plus for them. The reason I purchased this 48 battery box was the price and the number of devices we have around the house that uses an AA battery; and I expect they'll all be gone before five years is past. The batteries came in a sturdy box that holds the batteries securely; as you look at the picture you're seeing the top of the box which swings up and back providing convenient access to the batteries inside. We have a battery drawer and the box in the picture fits nicely into the drawer. So far I've been pleased with my purchase but will update this review if anything unusual develops.

Awesome Value and a box that will last as long as I need it to.
I don't go through AAA batteries extremely quickly. Most of the things that I use them for are rather efficient (like remotes, led flash lights, etc). I'm always mad when I have to buy any kind of battery because they cost so much. So that's why I go for big packs of less expensive brands. Maxell batteries on Amazon are the best value I've found (at least for AAAs). And this pack comes in a sturdy box which is great for me because it will probably be jostled around a bit before I go through the whole pack. These batteries last just as long as any other AAAs that I've bought...So, lets get one thing straight. All alkaline batteries are almost identical from brand to brand. The construction and physical durability may vary, but the problem of longevity usually does not come from the manufacturer. The quality and longevity issues are affected by it's age and the reliability of the merchant. The cheap generic batteries at a dollar store are most likely more than 3 years old and have probably been stored in cold and hot temperatures. True, a super cheap brand tends to produce a super cheap battery. But one AAA Alkaline battery made today by maxell or rayovac is going to perform almost exactly like a AAA Alkaline battery made today by Duracell or Energizer. When buying in a store check the expiration dates on the batteries (it should be printed on the packaging or on the batteries themselves). If they don't list one, then don't buy them. And don't buy batteries from a discount vender (a flea market, a thrift store, your neighbor). The maxell batteries that I bought from amazon in February 2010 have an expry of 01-2015 (it's printed both on the batteries and on the front of the box). So they are fresh and sold by amazon, one of the most reliable merchants in the world.
